Kao Dim Sum — Restaurant in Barcelona

El servicio es PÉSIMO. Uno de los peores servicios de toda Barcelona.

LA SITUACIÓN:

Tenía una reserva para cenar con mi pareja, al llegar no había nadie esperando para que les sentaran. Nos atendió una chica y nos dijo que nos esperáramos para que nos sentaran que estaban preparando la mesa.

LA COMPLICACIÓN: Al cabo de 5 minutos llega una chica de europa del este más mayor que supuestamente era la jefa y me pregunta que si alguien nos atendió. Le digo que si, que nos dijo que nos esperáramos “que nos estaban preparando la mesa”. Todo seguido la supuesta camarera jefa pregunta lo mismo a otra pareja que acababa de entrar hace 2 minutos, la pareja responde que no tienen reserva y que son 2 personas, y va la camarera Y LE DA NUESTRA MESA. Al yo quejarme de que les habían dado nuestra mesa la otra camarera con la que había hablado inicialmente empezó a negar que nos había dicho que nos esperáramos y dijo que ella nunca había hablado con nosotros. La supuesta jefa del restaurante en vez de disculparse por la situación empezó a acusarme de que me había inventado que la otra camarera me había dicho que me esperara! ES INCREÍBLE QUE TRATEN ASÍ DE MAL A UN CLIENTE DICIÉNDOLE EN SU CARA QUE ESTÁ MINTIENDO CUANDO NO ES ASÍ!!! Para colmo, las personas que no tenían reserva se quedaron en la mesa y a nosotros qué teníamos reserva nos ofrecieron sentar en la barra. Una vergüenza. Ante este trato tan malo decidimos irnos cuando ya eran las 10:25pm y no habíamos cenado aún.

AÚN ESTOY ESPERANDO UNAS DISCULPAS DE LAS CAMARERAS. ES UNA LÁSTIMA QUE TRATEN ASÍ DE MAL A CLIENTES, ENCIMA CUANDO TIENEN RESERVA Y TIENEN RAZÓN.

Pongo esta review para que todo el mundo que vaya al Kao Dim Sum esté preparado a recibir un SERVICIO PÉSIMO y le puedan ESTROPEAR LA CENA DE UN VIERNES NOCHE.

The service is AWFUL. One of the worst restaurant services in all of Barcelona.

THE SITUATION:

I had a dinner reservation with my partner, when they arrived there was no one waiting to be seated. We were attended by a girl and she told us to wait to be seated as they were preparing the table.

THE COMPLICATION:

After 5 minutes an older girl from Eastern Europe who was supposedly the waitress manager arrived and she asked me if someone has attended us. I told her that one of her colleagues asked us to wait since "they were preparing a table for us." Right after, this supposed waitress manager asked the same thing to another couple who had just entered 2 minutes ago, the couple responded they did not have a reservation and that they were 2 people, and the waitress went AND GAVE THEM OUR TABLE. I complained about that and the other waitress that i had initially spoken to began to deny that she had asked us to wait and said that she had never spoken to us. The supposed waitress manager of the restaurant, instead of apologizing for the situation, began to accuse us that we were making up that we spoke with one of her waitresses !! IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER THAT BADLY BY TELLING TO HIS FACE THAT HE IS LYING WHEN HE IS NOT SO !!! To make matters worse, the people who did not have a reservation stayed at the table and we, who had a reservation, were offered to sit at the bar. A shame. Given this bad treatment, we decided to leave when it was already 10:25 pm and we had not had dinner yet.

I'M STILL WAITING FOR SOME APOLOGIES FROM THE WAITRESSES. IT IS A Pity THAT CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED THAT BADLY, EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE A RESERVATION AND THEY ARE RIGHT ON WHAT THEY ARE SAYING

El interiorismo del restaurante está bien diseñado, en acorde con el distrito en el que se ubica el restaurante (Sant Gervasi - La Bonanova) y los platos se presentan con cierta gentileza. Asimismo, la comida es aceptable y los alimentos bien seleccionados, pero no tiene nada que ver con los “dim sum” de Cantón ni se trata de un restaurante de cocina contemporánea (los platos se inspiran en la gastronomía clásica). En este sentido, es una pena que el precio sea tan desproporcionado, pagando 62 € por 4 baozi, 2 jiaozi y un pato laqueado con arroz tres delicias (definido como arroz cantonés en la carta cuando es arroz del estilo de Yangzhou). He comido en Hong Kong, Shanghái y Guangdong, donde he podido contrastarlo con los auténticos jiaozi (餃子) y baozi (包子), también he estado en Pekín dónde la calidad de un pato similar se paga a la mitad (proporcionalmente) y la calidad difiere bastante de lo que he probado. Por lo tanto, estamos delante de un restaurante chino embalado con aires burgueses cuando el producto ofrecido es meramente clásico. Por lo tanto, la relación calidad-precio es baja, cuando puedes probar las mismas características gustativas en otros restaurantes populares de gastronomía china de la ciudad, por una tercera parte del precio pagado en Kao. Si lo que queréis es sentaros en unas mesas impolutas de la zona alta de la ciudad, con una presentación distinguida, este es vuestro restaurante.
