Disappointing Experience with Closing Times

I recently visited la Republica del Taco , a Mexican restaurant, to pick up a takeaway, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The restaurant advertises that it closes at 11 PM, which gave me plenty of time to grab dinner after a long day. However, upon arriving at 10:20 PM, I was met with an unexpected and disappointing situation.

As soon as I walked in, I was informed that the kitchen actually closes at 10:30 PM. Despite it still being before that time, I was told that the kitchen was already closed because there were no people. This explanation was baffling and frustrating. If the kitchen closes earlier than the stated closing time, it should be clearly communicated to avoid inconveniencing customers. Moreover, refusing to serve customers early ensures that there will indeed be no people.

Adding to the frustration was the attitude of the waiter and the staff. They were rude and unaccommodating, which made the experience even worse. Having visited Mexico and experienced the warm, welcoming hospitality that is synonymous with Mexican culture, I was particularly disappointed by the lack of accommodation . The friendly and inviting atmosphere I associate with Mexican dining was nowhere to be found.

The staff's refusal to serve me, even though I arrived within what should have been an acceptable window, left a sour taste in my mouth. Clear communication about operating hours is crucial for any business, and unfortunately, they fell short in this regard.

I hope the management considers updating their closing time information to reflect the actual hours of operation, ensuring no other customers have to experience the same frustration. Until then, I would think twice before relying on their...

Lately mexican food has become very “fancy” most places try too hard by mixing ingredients and trying to go out of the ordinary. But why would you do that when you have such great tastes.
