He Cheng — Restaurant in Barcelona

A friend of mine recommended this place years ago and we decided to give it a try back then, and ever since we have kept coming back to He Cheng. Hands down, it's one of the best Chinese in town.

The dishes you should definitely try are their handmade noodles, dumplings and typical dishes from their region such as "Pata de cerdo al estilo Qingtian", "Cerdo agripicante" and "Raviolis de la casa salteados". The dishes mentioned above are worth to try, all of them are delicious and keeps you wanting more!

However, I wouldn't recommend the typical "westernized" dishes, such as "arroz de 3 delicias" nor "pollo con almendras". You get what you order, and it is what it states.Therefore you shouldn't expect anything out of this world, as these are NOT typical dishes from China.

What comes to the place, it is very humble place. I agree that the place/decoration needs a bit of work, also the service however it doesn't stop me from coming.

All in all, it is a great Chinese restaurant with huge portions full of flavour. I highly recommend this to anybody who love Chinese food!

I loved the atmosphere from the moment I walked in. The family running the place was sitting at a table, one was grabbing a bite to eat and the others were hand-making won-tuns or something. One woman jumped up and brought us menus, then switched them for English language menus when she saw we didn't read Spanish.

The prices are really reasonable and the food was outstanding. They brought food out as it was ready, so not all together. But the grilled dumplings were piping hot and delicious. As were the entrees. Highly...

We highly recommend the (Braised) Pork Trotters - Qingtian Style!! It was superb - delicious, oh so tender, and oozing with flavors. You can't go wrong with this dish. The serving was generous and can be shared with another guest.

Place was cozy, faint Oriental music playing in the background - subtle enough not to interfere with table conversion.

Service was great and prompt, dishes were served almost at the same time. Definitely going back to this spot should we be back...
