The food in the restaurant deserves One Michelin Star. Yes, that's how much my wife and i liked it.
What an incredible experience. Took us back to Nepal instantly. We can even go further and say that took us back to our moms' kitchens.
Everything in the menu is to die for! Order anything and u wont be disappointed. However, take the owner's recommendations into account too.
Some of the best items on the menu for you to absolutely try: Kachila Mutton momo Pork sekuwa
Elaborate version of our experience: The restaurant owner is the one running the operations and he also adds to the whole experience. His humility, chattiness just made you want to listen to him all day long and not get bored.
The ambience has got everything from AAKHI JHYAL(peeping nepali windows) to MADAL(nepali musical instrument). Even the upholstery of the chair is made out of DHAAKA(nepali fabric). Then the music, oh takes you back to your childhood radio experience. 🤗
Now,the food, speechless. He has worked so much on extracting the authentic taste by using fresh, organic ingredients and its evident right from the aroma itself. The whole experience is a love affair between the owners and the food they bring to the table. Won't talk about the food presentation here because i want to keep it as a surprise. Everytime the food was brought, we would clap and got absolutely stunned. Dont wanna take that away from you. 😉
Lastly, suggest you to eat the food with eyes first, then with the smell and then only with the mouth for the...
Read moreWe went to this fabulous restaurant on our last day in Barcelona for lunch, having seen it on Google Maps and noticed it in the area. What a brilliant experience.
We received a warm welcome (despite walking in without a reservation) and had such personal service from the staff working there. We were told about Lasun’s philosophy of Nepalese food, and received excellent recommendations of which food to try, to ensure full variety and to cater to our likes and dislikes.
Our family of four ended up sharing four starters and four mains - each dish was brought to the middle of the table with a reminder of what it was and we all shared. We loved every single one of them! Such delicious, vibrant flavours and contrasting textures. Impossible to pick favourites - but we had a selection of momos, crunchy noodle waiwai chatpat, taste explosion fulki and octopus sekuwa to start. Then for mains, we enjoyed the spicy, nutty keema noodles, the crispy chattamari, the Lasun special curry and the selection of samay baji. Each dish was obviously made with love and care and presented beautifully too.
If we didn’t live 1300km away, we would return again very soon. We cannot recommend enough that you try this brilliant food made by these...
Read moreThe place has a cozy ambiance and a very pleasant atmosphere, which we really appreciated. The food was excellent and definitely worth mentioning. However, the service could be improved. We experienced a long wait before the waiter came to take our order, and while he was assisting us, he was pulled away by another table and ended up taking their order instead. He wasn’t writing down orders, which led to multiple trips back to the tables to reconfirm details.
Additionally, the food took quite a while to arrive. It was a Friday night, which is understandably a busy time, but it seemed the staff was overwhelmed. The same person was managing the door, attending to all tables, serving food, and handling payments. It’s a lot for one person to manage, and perhaps something to consider from a staffing perspective.
Overall, the experience was still enjoyable thanks to the great food and nice setting. With a few adjustments to service, this place could really be a nice...
