We'd been wanting to visit Sagrada Familia for years, and finally returned to Barcelona and booked the tickets.
It's come a long way in the fifteen years since we were last in the vicinity, and it was great to see the inside.
As big churches go, the Sagrada is up there with the most impressive.
I'd love to be able to recommend it, but the ticket price is just that little bit too high to make it good value. And we paid extra to ascend the Nativity Towers, which would have been nice to see if not for all the scaffolding, the site office and porta-loos at the top.
Also, the app has a section on dress code. We consulted this beforehand and, having seen absolutely nothing regarding covering the shoulders, I opted for a vest top owing to the extreme heat.
However, it seems that while women are allowed to expose their shoulders, men are not. This necessitated a visit to one of the stalls opposite to buy a scarf, and added an extra €5 to the already extortionate entry fee.
At best this is misleading, at worst it's racketeering!
