10/10 stars for this little gem of a restaurant in Barcelona. Little Andaman is the perfect restaurant to enjoy Indian food with your friends, family, date, and business associates. The decor, lighting, and ambiance make this the perfect place to celebrate a new milestone or to share a cozy conversation with your loved ones.

Booking our reservation: We made the reservation through Google and The Fork a few days in advance of our dinner. The reservation was confirmed via email, and the restaurant called the day of the dinner to confirm that we would indeed be needing a table for 10 people that night. *If you get a chance, check out the website; kudos to the designer who created a well-designed webpage with great graphics, images, and use of colors.

Food & Drinks: They offer their menus in English, Catalan, and Spanish. The menus come highly detailed with explanations of what each dish is and symbols showing whether the dish is gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. There are several dishes for both vegetarians and omnivores, and all come exquisitely prepared. I would describe their dishes as Indian with Catalan and Spanish influence, created to welcome new palates and keep seasoned palates happy. You can order individual dishes or the daily lunch/dinner menu of the day.

They have a great selection of wines and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic options. While I always love a good mango lassi, the fizzy & fresh mango in coco soda was new to me, and it was refreshing! So if you prefer less sweet and like sparkling water, the fizzy & fresh mango i coco soda could be a good option to try out! If it’s your first time trying Indian food, though, I recommend starting with the mango lassi, as it’s a classic that you can never go wrong with. We also ordered 2 bottles of wine (and water) to accompany our dishes.

The food was excellent. For a group of 10 where the majority had not eaten Indian food prior to this dinner, we started with several tapas and naans. We then ordered 3 orders each of the costelles de xai al tandoor, curri dels pescadors de kerala, and kori gassi with naan (however, for next time, rice would be a better option for the curri dels pescadors de kerala and kori gassi). The star dish of the night was the costelles de xai al tandoor. Each plate comes with 2 ribs (but you can a supplement to get more to adjust for your group size) roasted to perfection over a bed of mongetas. Both were a delicious combination. Make sure to get some naan with your lamb. The second best dish was the curri dels pescadors de kerala. The sauce was spectacular and the fish was moist and delicious. I would recommend ordering some rice to accompany it. We were so full that we had to skip dessert, but we will be back again so that we can update this review.

About 75% of our group had not had Indian food before (or good Indian food before) so there was a lot of concern about the spice level of the menu. Little Andaman has adjusted all of their dishes to fit the Spanish/Catalan/European palate. They can increase the spice level if you request, but the dishes were all delicious as is and not spicy (everyone except for me was from Catalunya or Spain). I personally love spicy Asian and Southeast Asian food, and I was honestly surprised at how Little Andaman manages to make dishes that are not spicy without compromising on the rich and complex flavors that make Indian food iconic.

Service: The staff is excellent. It was quite hectic as you can imagine with 10 people talking and asking questions. The staff was patient and quick to serve and help us as needed. The staff spoke and/or understood both Catalan and Spanish which we appreciated.

On a side note, as someone who is still learning Catalan, I want to thank the staff member who complimented me on my Catalan since I was the one ordering most of the dishes for the night. :) The restaurant owner was also such a sweetheart, laughing with us as we paid our bill for the night. We left with very satisfied bellies and smiles on our faces. We will be sure to...

"Little Andaman" has to be the finest Indian restaurants in Barcelona. It takes you on a journey around the coast of India. Beautifully done interiors and such friendly attentive staff. The place has some phenomenal cocktails (my favorites were the Tamarind & Ginger Margarita and the Cinnamon Mango Mojito) which were topped by their hand dried citrus slices and very fascinating craft ice. They had a delicious spread of tapas style small bites (we tried the Indian nachos, chicken 65, pav bhaji, podi Idli) and more full meals (their award winning Kerala boatmans fish curry was to die for!).The staff is so attentive, friendly and the service is excellent. This is very different from the traditional Indian naan-curry places, very refreshing. Each item in the menu is carefully designed and thoughtfully presented, so authentic yet modern. I would love to visit Little Andaman again! Do not miss Little Andaman if you are...

Stepping into Little Andaman was like entering a captivating Indian haven. The restaurant’s charming ambiance effortlessly transported me to a modern Indian setting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. As I indulged in their culinary offerings, I was treated to a symphony of flavors that showcased the mastery of Indian cuisine. Each dish, from the fragrant curries to the impeccably baked naan, was a testament to the chefs’ skill and passion.

What truly elevated my time at Little Andaman was the attentive and welcoming staff. Their genuine care and expertise added an extra layer of comfort, making the visit feel like a warm invitation into Indian culture. Whether you’re an enthusiast of Indian cuisine or new to its wonders, Little Andaman’s delightful ambiance, delectable food, and exceptional service make it a destination that promises an extraordinary...

Wow! I'm so glad I tried this place. Everything was great. I arrived without reservation early Friday night (my mistake). The hostess was super kind and arranged for me a table even when they were fully booked. The service and friendliness of their staff was a breath of fresh air after a busy day. I decided to try multiple starters instead of a main dish. Oh boy, I did the right thing to explore the different options! I won't make this a wall of text, so, TL;DR Everything was great! The cocktails, the pulled lamb wrap, the octopus tandoor, the chicken, the podi idli (surprised by this one), the cocktails, the carrot dessert. The wonderful combination of great food and excellent service have made this one of my favorite places in Barna. And you can be sure I'll visit them every time I fly to Barcelona.
