We truly enjoyed dining at Mar i Terra! We dined outside and enjoyed lively Barcelona with its talented street musicians who played some great songs while we sat there! I have to say that our server, I believe his name was Kachim, made sure that not only us, but everyone at the restaurant, was well taken care of. He literally ran around, making sure that everyone had what they had asked for. I was impressed by his serving; by that, I mean him serving various dishes that required some knowledge and skill. Now, the food was delicious! All ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were there. We tried the variety of olives, and they were absolutely fantastic! I loved the guacamole (it was seasoned to perfection, and I appreciated it as too many restaurants tend to serve mashed avocado as guacamole...). The calamari melted in our mouths, which is quite rare.. The frutti di mare tagliatelle was delicious! I did not care much for the catalan-style cod with beans, but the fish was cooked to perfection. Now, on a sad note: the dessert was a fail. It was supposed to be an applie pie with creme brulee while, in fact, all components did not work together on a plate. Anyway, the restaurant is all about mar and terra, and these dishes are, indeed, wonderful and worth trying! Oh, and we do recommend the jar of white sangria with cava! It's really good!

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mar i Terra Rambla in Barcelona, and it was hands down the best meal we've had this year possibly ever. To start, we shared a delicious spread: garlic prawns bursting with flavor, perfectly crisp fried eggplant, juicy meatballs, and a trio of incredible croquettes—beef, chicken, and seafood. Every bite was cooked to perfection and full of authentic Spanish flavor. For the main course, I had the sea bass which got flamed right in front of us, and I can honestly say it was the best sea bass of my life. Cooked flawlessly, served with tender vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, and a beautiful garlic sauce that I’m still dreaming about. My fiancé had the steak tacos, which were so good he ordered a second round. That should say it all. From start to finish, this was an absolutely amazing meal. We both agreed it was not only the best we’ve had in Barcelona, but easily Michelin star level. Exceptional food, warm atmosphere, and top-tier quality. We’ll be recommending Mar i Terra to everyone we know

Do not waste your time and money. I had high expectations after reading some reviews, but honestly, it felt like a scam after visiting this restaurant. The place looks quite fancy, but the front-of-house staff need proper training. One female staff member never smiled at customers—only at other staff—and gave off a very cold, unwelcoming vibe. The chef was speaking loudly on the phone right in front of the kitchen, which felt unprofessional. I ordered a Coke Zero. The waiter opened a bottle in front of me, but I noticed it wasn’t Coke Zero. I asked him to check, and he brought the correct one. I then saw the mistaken bottle served to another table, which isn’t acceptable. The food was terrible. We ordered the paella, which was expensive compared to other places—around €18.50 per person, and you need to order two. For that price, we got just 2 scampi, 4 prawns, 4 small mussels, and 4 clams. The rice was even undercooked.

We, two locals, working close, went for lunch in this restaurant. That was our experience: on the door, the restaurant attracts their customers with a menu of the day for lunch (20€). However, after taking place inside we received the standard menu only. We needed actively to ask for the menu of the day. Paying close attention to the tables around us, the same happened to at least 3 other tables. Is that a coincidence? 20€ for a lunch is a high priced offer. Other restaurants serve lunch for 14-16€. We had two easy questions about the menu of the day. Two times the waitress could not answer and needed to go to the kitchen. We ordered. First plate was good, second plate was delivered incorrectly. After finishing the second plate, we waited 25 minutes! As apparently no one was interested to serve us, I asked another waiter to come to the table. We ordered desert: My question: ´What do you have on the lunch menu for desert?´ Answer: ´I don´t know´. We ordered a fruit salat and a coconut cake. 10 minutes later, the same waiter came to the table and told me ´there is no coconut cake today.´ Ups... After another 10 minutes waiting we left to the bar and wanted to pay without having desert. And the crowning glory of the whole thing, the same waiter reacts indignantly to my feedback that we were not satisfied with the service. Never ever I´m going to visit this restaurant again. PS: There were a striking number of fruit flies at our table. Something you should...

Stopped in here for dinner while staying in Barcelona for Easter weekend. Despite multiple glowing reviews, we had a subpar experience. We ordered the croquettes con pollo, calamari, albondigas, seafood platter for two, and pasta with prawns.

We started with sangria con cava which was good. All the tapas were fine - though the calamari stood out as it was perfectly cooked and had a great texture. Of note, the server got our order wrong and delivered the wrong Croquettes to our table. Most of the time I would say this is not a big deal, and as a former server I understand mistakes happen. However this mistake occurred once more when our entrees arrived and were incorrect.

We were very disappointed by the featured seafood platter which contained mushy prawns. The scallops and clams were ok. Overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food for the price paid, and the star of the show, the lobster, was overcooked and chewy.

The location and ambiance of this restaurant is very nice. Perhaps we got them on a bad day as it was the holiday weekend. The service was hit and miss. We overheard a server laughing at our table. This was a single server - the rest of the staff we encountered...
