Stayed February 2025. Unfortunately, my parents had a truly disappointing experience at this hotel. We had chosen this hotel for their anniversary, hoping for a pleasant stay, especially since it was rated 4*. However, upon their arrival, the room was not as clean as expected, as if it had not been refreshed for a new guest. The next day, my parents had planned tourism activities and left for the day after breakfast. When they returned, they found that the room was still unclean, and there were no clean towels provided. This was a major disappointment, especially since my dad had planned to put flowers and chocolates on the bed for my mother. The receptionist, who seemed far from understanding the situation, offered my dad towels and even suggested a glass of champagne. My dad explained that he didn’t drink and preferred to get refunded the €35 extra charge that was being added to their bill without their knowledge because it was a tax which we do not understand how or were it goes and why they charge apart from the normal fees. The receptionist assured him that she would check with her manager for the refund. but the next day, my parents approached the reception to express their dissatisfaction and requested to please make sure the room was cleaned and not forgotten.
To their surprise, the receptionist offered my father a dinner as a gesture of goodwill. However upon their dinner, the service was poor and appalling. My parents were only served a plate of fruits and a glass of juice. earlier in the day they cancelled their dinner at a restaurant that was booked for that night due to the reason of being offered a dinner
My parents are in their late 70s and were in a foreign country where they were expecting to have a great time. Instead, they were disappointed and disheartened by the poor service they received at this hotel.
I believe that not even a 2* or 3* hotel would provide such a terrible service as this one. I strongly recommend that you look for a better place when it comes to cleanliness, enjoyment, and quality of service. This hotel is only worth a 2* rating. Also it is not as modern as...
Read moreWhen I booked the Agoda app, all the pictures(6 pictures) of the standard room had a nice window overlooking the outside streets.
I didn't see the picture of the room outside the window surrounded by walls, and I didn't hear the story from the center hotel.
But, the room I received was a room with a view of wall, not the street, and I stayed with the curtains closed for 5 days.
Don't believe the picture on the ad.
I wouldn't have made a reservation if I knew it was a room facing the wall.
The room I booked and the room I used were completely different, I felt cheated and very unpleasant.
To prevent other future guests from misunderstanding, post a picture that matches the actual room condition on the reservation site and clarify the notice in advance.
The act of raising a room with a nice outside view to stay in and actually giving a room looking at the wall is not worth doing in a four-star hotel.
Rather, it would have been better if you told me honestly in advance that if you chose a standard room, you would see the view surrounded by the wall, or if you could let me know.
Of course, I repeat, then I would have canceled my reservation and gone to another hotel.
Later, looking at a review of Google Maps the Center Hotel Barcelona, I found a post posted by another customer who suffered the same damage as me.
Anyway, thanks to you the Center Hotel, I ruined my 25th wedding anniversary trip.
Look at the photos I posted to see if I'm right or not, and compare the reservation site photos posted on the Agoda app.
I don't know if the responsibility for posting the reservation site photos is in Agoda or the center hotel, but I hope the hotel takes responsible action.
I asked the front desk that the air conditioner wasn't going down 26 degrees, but I didn't get any action, I didn't get any explanation.
To be honest, I don't expect there to be any action to write such a review, but I leave a long review to prevent other victims. Because honest reviews...

We stayed at the Barcelona Center Hotel for a work-related event, and it was an extremely challenging ordeal. In addition to our accommodations, we had also reserved several rooms for use as offices, for which we paid a significant amount. Despite our repeated requests, the staff denied us the keys to secure these offices, resulting in the theft of our computers and personal belongings within the first few days of our stay. What's more, these offices, which were crucial for our important meetings, were never cleaned until we persistently reminded the staff during the latter part of our stay.
While the hotel's location is central, it unfortunately attracts criminal activity. Theft incidents are frequent in the lobby and outside the hotel premises, and the staff appears to be indifferent to these issues. Shockingly, when we reported the first theft, the staff callously remarked, "ESTO ES NORMAL, ES UN HOTEL DE LADRONES," meaning "THIS IS NORMAL, THIS IS A HOTEL OF THIEVES."
During the final days of our stay, I caught a thief in the act of stealing from our offices once again. Despite my efforts to apprehend the criminal and involve the police, the staff treated the situation as an inconvenience to the hotel. Even though my 24-year-old colleague was left in tears due to witnessing the incident, the staff failed to provide her with any support, a glass of water, or even an apology for the distress caused.
Having traveled extensively, I have never encountered such a glaring lack of professionalism. The manager, Pablo, seems utterly inept when it comes to running a successful business and properly training his staff. His basic interpersonal skills are sorely lacking. Furthermore, the quality of the food was subpar.
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this...
