Read moreDO NOT PAY ANYTHING IN ADVANCE! I did - I did not get the visit and also was NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY! DISCRIMINATORY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was deceived with paying 18€ in advance which at the moment I still did not receive after I had booked and PAID in full 4 days ago for a GUIDED tour on Saturday, Merce holidays 11am. Postponed plans with friends and woke up very early to be able to do house chores and arrive 10.50 for the visit to find out there was ABSOLUTELY NO VISIT scheduled, and the only thing they offered was an audio guide later in the day. Berta, the worst employee of the year - had convinced me to take the guided tour so I ask questions - in SPANISH also discriminating other guides knowledge. Speaking English is NOT LESS knowledge Berta. Having people pay for nothing is INCOMPETENCY and you are the perfect example - also vanitous to allow yourself to say someone speaking English will have a less valuable insight. Why is it the same price for the guide then? If it s worse quality? Anyway - I was not refunded the money until now, they even refused to let me in for free to the whole bothering to be there for nothing, they litteraly did care. I asked for the chocolate box which was promised on the tour - not even that. So basically, you messed my whole Saturday morning and friday evening as I did not stay late to be ok with the visit - so just to be mocked by Casa Ametller. NOT RECOMMEND - terrible customer service, terrible organisation and until now - apparently keeping people’s money and not offering...
Read moreWonderful house! I loved the visit there. I took the audioguide and this is very interesting. I really preferred this house to the Batllo and Milas houses. If you are in Barcelona, I would strongly recommend you to visit it. The style is very different to Gaudi's style, but I really liked it. Take the audioguide, enjoy your visit and make sure that you take the hot Amatller chocolate, it is really worth it and it is less expensive if you buy it with your visit ticket. Make also sure you go to the shop, they sell very nice chocolate. If your hotel is nearby, I also recommend you to not take the breakfast at your hotel and to go to the Amatller coffee place every morning: there is an inside courtyard, which is really lovely and the breakfast is great there: healthy options available, not too pricey and really lovely. It opens at 8:00 o'clock in the morning (the museum at 10.00). This was one of my favourite places during my stay in Barcelona!! I loved it! And the people there are really available for you (contrary to the...
