My favourite coffee shop in Barcelona to taste and buy my one true love in life which is coffee 💖☕ I love to try new varieties and roasts in their coffee lab and then buy the freshly ground beans for my beloved Bialetti at home. They name the coffees based on the category like Espresso and then the countries of origin, which means you can easily choose the right coffees for you and compare different coffee profiles from South America to Afrika including varying specialty coffees. I completely fell in love with a Colombian specialty coffee called "Lord Voldemort" with Pink Bourbon coffee beans, which is just the perfect Espresso and makes the best coffee I have ever tasted. Like honestly perfect - the dark intensive roast makes a perfectly rich crema and incredible taste with a full flavor profile 😍 if heaven was a coffee it would probably taste like the Lord Voldemort coffee. Unfortunately, they don't have it anymore at the moment but there are always new varieties to try out, like the Omar Arango which is the next best coffee to the L.V. I could find. Staff is super nice, friendly and motivated, even when the place is completely packed with caffeine-high tourists they seem to enjoy their work and take their time with every single customer. Keep up the great work guys 💪

Coffee made as it should be! I’ve heard a lot about Nomad being one of the few coffee houses in Barcelona that is a purist and serves coffee in a non Italian style. As I walked in, I was delighted to see that there was no latte and speciality drinks with syrups. This is a pure coffee house through and though - cappuccino / flat white is as milky as it gets. They keep it simple and let the coffee shine in each drink. Additionally, you can pick any of their roasts for pour overs or espresso based drink. Allows you to taste as many roasts as you’d like. I ordered a shakerto with a splash of Oatmilk - espresso shot shaken with a splash of Oatmilk. The taste was superb - smooth, no bitter after taste, and with notes of toffee shining through. Next up was a cappuccino - the perfect 6oz cup. They sell the coffee beans in filter style and espresso! I bought 2 bags with origins in Burundi and China - very rare / almost impossible to find East Asian coffee in USA. I would highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a truly amazing coffee experience. I would not recommend this to someone looking for a more traditional American coffee house experience with syrups, seasonal drinks, and lattes.

When I was sitting on the armrest of the BENCH (OPPOSITE TO THE COFFEE TABLE, ON THE SIDE OF THE WINDOW), the shop assistant asked me to move because he needed to place water for two other clients(at that moment NO ONE was sitting on the bench). As I complied and stepped away, these two customers sat down on the chair, promptly retrieved their water and even gestured that it was fine for me to use the armrest. Besides, I narrowly avoided spilling my coffee when the barista handed it to me. I wonder why the assistant didn't indicate me another available seating spot for me instead of asking me to move? And why he didn't simply hand the water directly to the waiting clients?? And additionally why did the barista just hold the coffee stably and patiently?? For what reason he was in a hurry? I questioned the barista's rush in serving the coffee, as it led to a near mishap. It's disappointing to see such a reputed coffee shop fall short in terms of SERVICE PROFESSIONALISM. Most concerning, this experience left me with a sense of MICRO-AGGRESSION that should not be present in such an establishment!

TLDR: The café's exceptional service genuinely stands out, mirroring the friendliness one might expect at Starbucks but with the attentive care of a specialty coffee shop. Definitely talk to the Barista's here, it will elevate the experience. While the coffee, including a batch drip and espresso, were generally good, the V60 pour-over left something to be desired at its price point.

Service: Initially I was really surprised that one of the pour-over was 8 Euros! (drip is 3.20 Euros) This led to a detailed conversation with Tony, who explained it was about the quality and he even showed me the beans. After all that, he helped me find a seat and came over to talk to me more about coffee! Friendly and professional.

I ultimately ordered the 8 euro coffee and an espresso, taking a seat in front of Barista Yoe. What struck me was her meticulous approach. The grinders had dosers (one was a weight doser), yet she weighed each shot again to ensure it matched the exact weight every time. I observed her adjusting tiny amounts of coffee to achieve this precision. She mentioned she tries to dial it in every 2 hours! During this process, she also began sharing insights into the history of espresso machines and the orientation of the La Marzocco boilers, knowledge not commonly held by baristas. She engaged in lively conversation, cheerfully making jokes while providing a mini-course on espresso making. Impressively, she even remembered me when I returned the next day!

I was actually disappointed with the coffee and its price. The next day, Sion talked to me about the different coffees, trying to help me figure out what I might enjoy more. She was genuinely trying to help me have a better experience next time.

I really enjoyed talking with everyone and would be a regular if I lived here. The baristas in this cafe clearly care about their work and remain friendly, avoiding the "I'm too cool to work here" attitude common in specialty shops.

Coffee: I had high expectations for the 8 Euro Guatemala Antigua coffee, an award-winning variety. Also Guatemala Antigua is my favorite coffee, so I've had it every chance I could. Typically, I expect & enjoy the well-balanced, low-medium acidity, medium-bodied, and smoothly finished profile of Guatemala Antiguas. However, this serving started with a watery flavor, later overwhelmed by a sudden acidity, lacking aroma and ending with a harsh finish, which left me severely disappointed. Additionally, the 260ml serving felt small compared to the standard 470ml in the US. Exploring other specialty shops, I realized that this distinct flavor profile might be unique to Barcelona. Also other places had pour-overs for 10 Euros making the 8 Euros seem reasonable. Generally, I expect the price for a single-origin pour-over to range from $3-$5, with premium varieties like Gesha commanding higher prices. To be fair Nomad also has some pour overs for 5 Euros.

After adjusting my expectations to the local flavor profile and anticipating an 8oz serving instead of the usual 16oz, I tried their batch drip. With this adjustment, I was quite satisfied and would say the coffee...

Having been a fan of Nomad Coffee's beans in Amsterdam, the opportunity to visit their physical location was one I couldn't pass up. Nestled in a modern, yet inviting space, Nomad presents itself as a beacon of excellency in the coffee world. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between contemporary design and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for coffee enthusiasts and casual sippers alike.

The highlight of my visit was opting for an €8 pour-over coffee. While the price might seem steep at first glance, the experience and the taste of the coffee justified every euro spent. The pour-over was meticulously prepared, showcasing the barista's skill and attention to detail. Each sip was a revelation, with complex flavors and aromas that spoke volumes of the quality of the beans and the precision in their brewing method.

Nomad's commitment to excellence is evident not just in their coffee but in the overall experience they offer. From the knowledgeable and friendly staff to the clean, aesthetically pleasing environment, everything about Nomad is designed to elevate your coffee experience.

Though the price point is higher compared to standard coffee offerings, what you receive in return is far from ordinary. It's a testament to Nomad's dedication to providing an exceptional product and service. For those who appreciate the art of coffee making and are willing to invest in a premium experience, Nomad is a must-visit.

In conclusion, my visit was nothing short of amazing. It's a place where the passion for coffee is palpable, and every cup served is a masterpiece in its own right. Whether you're a long-time admirer of their beans or a newcomer to the brand, Nomad offers an unforgettable journey into the heart of...
