SCAM ALERT —- this started out as a great experience and ended terribly. When the check came, we had been charged 2.50 euro for a glass bottle of water. I spoke to two different waiters about the issue… (1) the menu doesn’t say anything about charging for water, which I pointed out to them. (2) I then said, “ok, fine, let me keep the glass water bottle” since you’re technically charging me for it, to which they said they “no, you are just being charged for water, and I can’t give you the glass bottle.” Then I said, “ok, let me get that 2.50 euro canceled from my check, and it’s fine”. To which I was told they couldn’t do that when the waiter literally was taking out the Point of sale terminal machine to type in the value on the check. Because we drank the water that they gave us, “they had to bill us”. In my 20+ years of restaurant patronage, I’ve never been in a position where they can’t “waive the cost of water”. This is when I got visibly upset and told them that it is entirely illegal in Spain and as a business to bill a customer without it showing up on the menu. The waiter then told me “to relax and take it slow.” Their drink and food section DOES NOT MENTION WATER, AT ALL. And then charging the customer, not waiving it for customer service when politely asked, and then still forcing me to pay is absolutely a SCAM and illegal. Ownership, I hope you read this message. My receipt is in the image. To fix this issue and do it right, you should (1) refund my credit card the 2.50 euro, (2) update your menus to indicate that water has a fee, (3) train your bar staff to let a customer know that water has a fee, (4) not do illegal scams by charging for drinks when it isn’t listed anywhere on your menu or at your bar menus, and (5) when called out, at least train your staff to waive the fee of something like water when asked and doing right by your customer. It’s not about the fact it’s “just 2.50 euro”. It’s the concept of all of this that isn’t valid and is taking advantage of...
Read moreSome friends and I were at an event located in the adjacent bar/lounge next door and as it was getting late and most restaurants were closing so we decided to go next door to ’Trafalgar Pizza Club’ for pizza. Some people had ordered earlier and received pizzas that they could barely cut due to the rubbery dough (which the reviews on Trip Advisor have been mentioning for over a ear!), so when ordering I asked if I could pls have my pizza cooked ‘well done’. The wanna-be floor manger/server snapped back ‘we don’t come to your kitchen and tell you how to cook so don’t try that with ours’. I almost walked out but I was really hungry and all restaurants were closing. Thus, this review! That guy obviously hates his job, lacks customer service and, in addition, the pizza had no crispy aspect whatsoever (inside like mush). Plus they charge you for Parmesan for your pizza, which was old and smelly; I am probably one of the only foolish people who would pay 2 euros for parmesan that was way past its days!
With sooooo many great restaurants in Barcelona, and with a large amount of them serving delicious pizza options, why should anyone waste their time and money at Trafalgar Pizza Club'? DON’T. You...
Read moreFood was nice. However, terrible service which leads to me not recommending this place. We ordered a starter and pizzas. Our starter came within a reasonable time frame, however our pizzas took 1 hour from ordering. What was frustrating was watching people arrive after us, get served before us, and leave before we had even eaten. I watched 5 different parties get served before us, despite arriving after us. When I politely asked a staff member if there was a problem with this order, he went to check. He came back saying there was no problem, and that the pizza was in the oven. This was a lie, as we could see the pizza oven (it is on display), and there were no pizzas in it.
Clearly there was an issue, and that’s fine and we understand that it happens. But what we do not appreciate is the poor communication and lies. Multiples times before finally asking one of the staff members, I tried to make eye contact with who appeared to be the owner, but he seemed to be purposely avoiding looking at me. There appeared to be poor communication between all the staff,...
