It was our second day in Barcelona, and a truly special one—my wife and I had just arrived the day before, our younger son had flown in earlier from the US for a conference, and our elder son had just landed from the UK after finishing his own conference in Naples. It was the first time the four of us had been together since 2023, and Olivia Bistró gave us the perfect setting to celebrate that long-awaited reunion. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They offered thoughtful suggestions, and were genuinely caring throughout the evening. The restaurant even provided Wi-Fi (a lifesaver, given the spotty 5G in Barcelona), which made browsing their digital menu a breeze. The food was absolutely delightful. The Canarian-style octopus was tender and flavorful, the paella was beautifully prepared, and the standout dish—the veal cheeks—was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We can’t recommend it enough. For dessert, the classic French toast with salted caramel ice cream was a dream. And to top it all off, the restaurant treated us to a roncaramelo to close the meal with a sweet, warm touch. We stumbled across Olivia Bistro after a visit to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and decided to stop for lunch as soon as it opened — and wow, we’re so glad we did.

We had the burrata salad, the cannelloni, some fresh bread and a couple of Lasalve beers. Every bite was spectacular — genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had in Barcelona. My partner and I were blown away. We actually said we wished we were staying closer so we could come back every day!

The service was absolutely brilliant — really friendly and everything arrived so quickly. We were amazed at how fast the food came out, especially considering the quality.
