Rooms Hola Bcn — Hotel in Barcelona

First of all it is difficult to find the Hostel since it's located in a apartment building and there's no sign or separate entrance to the Hostel. Once we found the place, the door bell indicating the Hostel wouldn't work. After a while without an answer, we tried the door bell 5'4 (we figured it out from the address 90 5 4) and then we managed to enter the building. Once we got to the Hostel the guy in charge quickly showed us around and after we paid him he left and we didn't see him again for our whole stay in there, except one day when we were coming back home after midnight and the elevator door would open and he scared us from outside the elevator telling us to be quiet even though we were being quiet (he also complained to some other guests that he couldn't sleep because they were talking on the balcony...)||||The really horrible part of our stay in this hostel was the bathroom. First of all the small bathroom doesn't always have hot water. The main bathroom was always extremely dirty and nobody came to clean even though there's supposed to be Hosekeeping. ||||The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. ||||The WiFi didn't always work and when it did the signal was very poor. ||||There's no breakfast included, so this information is from on tripadvisor. ||||The location is good, but overall I wouldn't recommend this Hostel to anyone due to the conditions of...

Where to start! The pictures are totally misleading, do not expect bright and clean. The room was small, dirty (grubby marks all over walls and dirty window sills), it made my skin crawl! We only had an internal window that opened into a communal stairwell. Our air-con didn't work at all, so we couldn't sleep. We had to have the window open, but this just looked directly into another room whose guest had their light on and was making a lot of noise until late. This meant that privacy was an issue, as the person across would be able to see you sleeping :( You could also hear everyone from the whole block coming and going throughout the night. Shower fixture was broken. Kitchen was poorly fitted and shabby, with no kettle. We would have left straight away if we had booked multiple nights to stay, but we were only stopping in Barcelona for a night so it would have totally disrupted our day finding somewhere else. I would perhaps be more understanding of the poor quality here if we were paying very little but the room was €94, so I'd expect a lot better here. Cleanliness should be guaranteed no matter what the price. Would not recommend, avoid...

This is not hostel either a "Pension" as Paulo the guy running this very suspicious activity calls it. The place is just a unregistered flat in a building, no reception, no services and Paulo is difficult to find even if lives next door, as he never replies emails or respond to the phone. Mysteriously the card machine did not work during our five days stays, and we were forced to pay cash ( for which Paulo came asking for it at 1.30 am! ) as they could not even take a bank transfer. When we asked for an invoice at least, we had a paper written by hand with a stamp and everything really look illegal in such process. The flat is with just one bathroom with shower and another tiny one, badly needs maintenance and cleaning and is nothing like it looks like in the photos, doors have such a tiny lock that can be open with a toothpick probably.
