Pittier — Restaurant in Barcelona

My fiancée and I were looking for a casual café in the neighborhood and came across Pittier, a Venezuelan eatery. We ordered the empanada mechada and mechada con queso gouda and were blown away. The exterior was perfectly crispy and doughy, and the mechada filling was seasoned excellently with the perfect pull-apart texture (do yourself a favor and use the green sauce liberally also); not too greasy, and we felt stuffed but not guilty afterwards. Our flight was the next morning but they opened at 7:30am and we were able to pop in and order some more empanadas. They did not disappoint the second time either. This place is a Must if you are in Barcelona! If you are a coffee lover! If you like to try something different! They have the best Empanadas I've ever tried, the coffee has no comparison! Very very good!!! Food is served quickly and you can easily stay a while and enjoy yourself. I tried the empanadas de pollo - cooked to order so it comes out super fresh, and make sure you use the green sauce! Also tried the chocolate croissant and cachito de jamon y bacon.
