La Xurreria de Maria — Local services in Barcelona

We had the same expérience as many before: Wanted to drink à Coffee latte and maybe snack something and sat on a table infront of the xurreria. Got the card and thought of what to order. As the waiter came to take out order, I said a coffe for my gf and that I wasn't ready. In the next 3 minutes 2 different waiters came 4 times , pressuring me to order drinks (aggressively listing alcoholic drinks that I should order) otherwise we should leave the table. The Waiter (older guy ) and a younger waitress did not came from the xurreria but the adjacent bar! There disrespectful service and greed for money was...

While in Barcelona, we went here 3/3 days! The coffee (Cafe con Leche) is really good here! We tried the smaller churros on our second day, which were really tasty and fresh out of the fryer. On our third and last day, I got the larger Nutella stuffed churro and that was also very delicious! I do wish that they could have heated it up a little (I never asked), but it was still really good. The little cafe is super close to the Sagrada Familia as well, so you can get your stuff to-go and enjoy them in the park just outside for some amazing views! Food was ok but service absolutely rubbish. None of the workers spoke any English, the male waiter ignored us when we came in but once we got our food and drinks he then came every two minutes to clear things off of the table and the moment my friend left for the bathroom he took her chair away.

He then came back moment later and took away the sugar sachets and wiped the table as I’m still mid bite. The place had a few people queuing for takeaway but there was another table empty next to us, so it’s not like we were holding up a table somebody else wanted.
