Redrum - Mexican Food & Tacos In Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

I used to love this place, I was a current customer. The bartenders and waiters even knew me and my friends, then a couple of months ago we went for some drinks, and one of our friends left early and paid for her drink at the bar. Se when the rest of us went to pay for the check, the waiter (he was new) wanted to charge us the full amount and we explained the situation, he didn’t want to believe us and then the bartender came and said we were right and that one drink was already paid for. We thought it was just a bitter moment but the next time we went back, something similar happened. We asked for a mojito and was never delivered to the table, then we asked for it again and they charged us double drinks at the end. We explained it to the waiter again, and he and the bartender who had defended us the previous time started screaming at us saying we never want to pay anything. He said “you should know exactly what you need to pay thats no my job (ironic because it was his job??) and I tried explaining that one of the drinks was never delivered and he literally didn’t let me talk, he was screaming over me saying: there’s always something wrong with your tab (this is the same bartender that had agreed with us the previous time). And it goes without saying that the whole restaurant was hearing him screaming. It was a truly ugly experience considering we always go to this place and spend a lot of money in it and we have even recommended it to all of our friends a bunch of times. Never coming back, they don’t know how to treat customers and even worse, old customers who always go there to have a nice time.

Don’t go to Redrum, or at least change the waiter and bartender because they are clearly not fit to be in front office.

PS: the bartender is brunette, tan with a moustache and the other waiter is caucasian. Just fire them they are making you...

I went for diner with some colleagues, we were 8. I had already been at this restaurant several times and liked it as the place is nice and the food is good. The problem came with the bill when the staff didn’t want us to split it as we wanted. given the numerous bad reviews it seems it’s a “normal behavior” for them to badly treat their customers. As this really seems abusive we argued up to the point that the staff call the police. 6 policemen came, for nothing as in the end we almost split the bill as we wanted Nowadays it seems surrealist that such situation happens, I really wonder what they want? Get paid in cash? Avoid few cents of bank payment fees ? Ridiculous They lost some good clients. Luckily there are many other great Mexican restaurants in town. Sadly I really don’t recommend you this place unless you don’t mind not splitting the bill at the end :) One recommendation for the staff, if this bill split is so much of a big issue for you please inform your clients upfront cause writing it in small letters on the menu is not enough and be clear about the max number of cards payment you...

📍Location: this place is a bit hide but close from Avenida del Paralelo, a very important street in Barcelona 😋 Taste: Wow, we’re delighted 😁, every portion was super tasty and creative! You should try a bit of everything 💸 Price: It’s a bit expensive but the place and the food totally worst it ✨ Service: guys are very kind and they explain you every meal 🏬 Interior: Looks amazing!
