On Friday 25/10 I had the worse experience on this place, never been treated so rudely in my life. I came from a dinner with friends from work, the music was playing and I had just bought my first drink when I got a call, so I try to go outside because I could not hear anything, the security told me I could not go out because I had a drink, then I stayed closed to the door when not 10 seconds later a second guy came to talk to me, he was a small blond Argentinian, he said I could not stay there where I was, and told me to go outside, my Spanish is not great, I was trying to explain to him that his colleague did not let me go out, then he raised his voice saying but I am telling you to go out now, I asked why was he being so rude, and if I was not allowed to take a call, and he answered: NO. I told him to talk to his colleague then, because they were saying different things, when he try to take the drink out of my hand. Just the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, I don’t think he would act like if I was a man. End of story I was kicked out of the place, they brought me a plastic cup and I couldn’t even get in to get my jacket. I asked my friend to get it for me because I was going home after this absurd. When my friend after talking to me tried to go inside this Argentinian guy just pushed him, for no reason, they nearly got to a fight and all of that for nothing. Only because the small guy had the need to make himself look bigger. There is no explanation! Never coming back there again, I honestly hope this comment stop people from having such an awful experience like this. My only regret was not calling the police, he got physical to someone who did nothing to him.
I did work for many years in hospitality and always treat people with respect because I know how hard it can be. It does not surprise me this comment below. Keep not taking responsibility for the actions and...
Read moreRude and arrogant, unfriendly staff. As a single person wanting to watch the soccer in half full establishment moved from near screen to as far as possible from the screen and when I asked why (I am aged older than general people going there) would not say why. People around me were amazed at my treatment and said the same to me. I left in disgust. This is not my first time at the bar, my partner and I have spent three nights as a couple in our ten nights in Barcelona eating dinner and/or having a drink and watching the soccer on the big screen there. Staff have not been overly friendly, but we just thought it was how the staff were, but I rate this as one of the rudest experiences I have had.
Thank goodness the rest of our experiences in dinning and get out and about in Barcelona and the other areas of Spain in our 11 weeks of travel show us that the Spainish people are warm, welcoming and lovely to deal with.
One star for the bar was food and big...
Read moreWe stood outside for over an hour in pouring rain, waiting and hoping to get in. Despite the weather and the total chaos at the door, we stayed patient. Only after all that suffering did they finally tell us we wouldn’t be let in – something they apparently knew THE WHOLE TIME. No communication, no respect, just pure humiliation.
Even worse: the security staff behaved disgustingly. Women were touched inappropriately, and the entire vibe was aggressive, creepy, and completely unprofessional. These so-called “security guards” acted like bullies, treating people like trash.
This place doesn’t deserve a single star. It deserves to be called out publicly so no one else has to experience such disgusting treatment. Save yourself the time, the money, and the dignity – go literally...
