Bar Les Cascades — Restaurant in Barcelona

Not only is it an absolute rip-off, but staff were rather rude to me. Of course being the type of place it is, their location guarantees business for them during tourist season, and unfortunately they've taken this as an excuse to treat you with disdain. I naturally wanted to practice my Spanish, so when I made some mistakes and said I wanted a half sandwich instead of a full one, the women rolls her eyes at me as if correcting things would require a herculean effort. I wait patiently for my order and your man walks up to me with the "sandwich" (that is, a baguette with 5 slices of Mercadona chorizo in it) and as I begin to thank him, he just drops the thing in my hands with an inane grunt and trudges off. Doesn't even make the microeffort to look me in the eye when I talk to him. All I can say is, if you want to enjoy Parc Montjuic to its fullest, steer clear...

As a resident of Poble Sec and a very common costumer, I’m deeply disappointed in how this bar has changed. Last Wednesday, I was shocked by the increase of prices which might be acceptable if the quality matched, but it doesn’t. The nachos and fries are bland and definitely NOT worth the money. Even worse, the service has become terrible, like the staff seem uninterested and the whole place feels disorganised and dirtier than before. It’s truly sad to see a spot that me and husband used to enjoy, has fallen this badly. I hope the owners take this seriously and bring back the standards that made this bar worth visiting. Not sure how to rate this place. At such a location you’re expecting very little for high prices right?

Surprisingly the burgers were both tasty and well priced. 8 euros for the vegan burger and 8.50 for the bacon one is just good and it was well sized.

But then 4 euros for a small glass of lemonade? That makes no sense. And 6.50 for sangria is quite steep too.

I understand profit needs to be made, I did not expect the quality of food, but the prising and sizing on the menu is just odd.

Still a good spot and I recommend. Not the tourist trap at all you would...
