The Benedict Brunch — Restaurant in Barcelona

This is one of the best brunch places in Barcelona 😍 The best price/quality/portion ratio. Also, it is a cute place to take photos 🤩

📍Location: it is located in the Gothic area, 5 mins walking from the Cathedral of Barcelona and 10 mins walking to the port and Maremagnum mall. It's very convenient to come here.

😋 Taste: we tried both savory and sweet meals. We were two and we took eggs Benedict with salmon, Potatoes ranchero, mimosa cocktail (cava + orange juice), 1 cappuccino, water and pancakes with Nutella and banana. Everything was yummy. And portions were big unlike in other brunch places. We were extremely happy with the quality of food.

🔥 Variety: the menu is great. It features a lot of different meals: eggs Benedict, English breakfast with sausage and beans, pancakes, omelettes, burgers. Also they have smoothies, alcohol drinks, cocktails, a huge variety of coffee drinks.

💸 Price: here is the thing, even though the prices are similar to other places, 10-14 euros per meal, the portions are big. We have never been so full from brunch as in this place. So you get a better deal for your money 💪🏻

✨ Service: staff is really friendly there. We had to wait 15 mins because we came on Saturday at 2PM and it was full but it was fine. Also, we had to wait some time until we could order, but again, it was too busy.

🌱 Vegan: there are options for vegans as well.

Overall, we recommend this place.

Upon our arrival at the restaurant, our anticipation was high as we eagerly placed an order for 1 café con leche, 1 smoothie, and 2 French toasts. 8- 10 minutes later the cafe con leche arrived, my wife drank it while I was still waiting for my smoothie. It arrived well after her coffee finished. We didn't think much of this and continued our discussion. However, our excitement waned when we noticed that a group of four, who arrived more than 10 minutes after us, already received their egg Benedict breakfast while we were still waiting... I inquired with the manager who went to the kitchen to check. 5 minutes later the waiter came with our french toasts, explaining that certain dishes require additional preparation time...in my experience I do not think that french toast needs a preparation time that is double of that of egg Benedicts! If that is the case,we should have been informed when we placed the order of the delay in making the french toast. Dissatisfied with the waiter' s response, I told him that I wouldn't be paying the bill. In response, the waiter apologized again, yet the manager failed to approach us to address the issue. Even when settling the bill, no gesture was made to compensate for the inconvenience. It is my suggestion that a staff training initiative be undertaken in order to uphold a consistent high standard of service in an otherwise nice place...

I have been waiting to try eggs benedict for 30+ years and just never found the right place or time. Well here' the place right? It's called The Benedict Brunch and the main meal is eggs benedict.

Can't go wrong...right? WRONG!!!!

The Eggs Florentine was COLD so I sent it back specifically saying it was cold, my 2nd plate was cold and one egg was even hard-boiled

I didn't bother sending it back again, I just didn't eat. The pancakes were dry just as someone said in another post. This place is most definitely a tourist trap. We live in Barcelona and the prices here are way too high for the food and services they are providing. Walk a little more and find something that will be worth all those delicious calories as it will definitely be made by love and hands, not machine made then frozen. ❤

On top of this the Service was sloooow. We had to ask others that were not our waitress to bring things to the table because we were waiting in excess of 10 minutes to place our order and that was after it took 10 minutes to be able to get a menu. Thankfully we were...
