Sensi Tapas — Restaurant in Barcelona

Obnoxiously appalling!! Ordered 2 dishes and 3 drinks- just to have a light casual meal on a Saturday night. Had been looking forward to it, given the ratings. Left sad, underwhelmed and disappointed. The seafood paella claimed as authentic and special- was salty, slightly raw when it came to the shrimp. The mussels were okay- but the dish severely lacked lemon which is available in traditional paellas from Valencia. Also ordered the 'Hindu' shrimp. Advertised as a dish rich in gravy, turmeric and tamarind on the menu. Don't know where they've been doing their groceries, but this just tasted like a bland Thai yellow curry needing every ingredient that's possibly required. Don't know what idiotic taste buds have been visiting your restaurant. I give you the only 2 stars, because of your prompt, courteous service- and because of your passion...

Tl;dr: aggressive waiters will nickel and dime you for small portions of food. Taxes not included in menu prices.

The food was decent, but this is a very touristy place. The menu states V.A.T. is not included and the check came with an underlined ‘service (tip) is not included’ - both of which are not normal in Barcelona and make the menu seem cheaper than it is.

Worst part of the experience was being nickel and dimed extensively. We were served two dishes we did not order and the waiter ‘misunderstood’ what I was saying when I tried to refuse them. My hungry friends ate off the dishes, so we were charged - very shady tactic to get more money. Bread and water will both cost money without you...

Amazingly friendly.....professional and fun staff.....Asked for a 10:30 seating on a extremely busy Friday nite.....the food was incredible....a lovely light & fresh menu...... with an incredibly well described and balanced wine menu....... the wine that the waiter “recommended” for our eclectic platter was perfect, staff tended to our uniquely odd particular taste in olive oil and black pepper..... ..delightful personalities, definitely will return because of the sense of character of the place..... ‘lil draw-back...a slight draught downstairs.....but totally worth it to watch the kitchen produce the...
