Today I visited Takumi in Tetuan, Barcelona, to satisfy my craving for ramen. The first thing that caught my attention was the lightning-fast service. My food arrived at the table in less than three minutes, which left me wondering if everything was cooked on the spot. While this may be convenient for those in a rush, it raised concerns about the authenticity and quality of the dishes.
I decided to try the Miso Ramen Pork broth with black garlic oil, hoping for a flavourful and rich experience. Unfortunately, the soup turned out to be disappointingly watery, resembling more of a thin broth than a robust ramen base. The miso flavor was also lacking and failed to deliver the distinctive taste of true miso ramen. As someone who has lived in Japan for seven years and regularly indulged in authentic ramen, my standards were set relatively high, which might have influenced my expectations.
Another letdown was the grilled chicken. It arrived at the table lukewarm, leaving me questioning whether it was pre-cooked and reheated for quick service. This compromised the overall experience and further increased my doubts about the restaurant's commitment to quality.
Despite the culinary disappointments, I must commend the charming customer service provided at Takumi. The staff members were friendly and attentive, making an effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their warmth and hospitality were the highlights of the visit.
In conclusion, while Takumi in Tetuan, Barcelona, boasts swift service and delightful customer service, the quality of the ramen dishes fell below my expectations. The watery soup and lack of miso flavor left me longing for an authentic, rich ramen experience. Additionally, the lukewarm grilled chicken raised concerns about the freshness and preparation of the food. There are better choices than Takumi for those seeking an authentic and satisfying...
Read moreExtremely delicious broth that comes with very chewy noodles. Thin with nice texture that 💯 % corresponds to authentic soba noodles. The combination of vegetables selected for vegan ramen is the best I have tried worldwide yet taking into account that ramen is a favourite dish for anytime of year.
Definitely have to try gyoza. Most of the friends also admit nice taste of vegan gyoza despite being non-vegans.
Coming here for at least 20+ times already I have never had a chance to try deserts. However saw most of them coming from kitchen and they look pretty amazing😄
Very nice atmosphere, but more in a Spanish style. You don’t come to ramen place to talk. You eat & go.
I have to admit that this is a very very very good place with great food and fast service.
P.S: don’t forget...

The atmosphere was great — super cozy, with the inspiring origin story depicted on the wall. Our server was kind.
The vegetable gyozas are the best I’ve had, with the base crispy to perfection, the filling delicious, and the sweet soy sauce complemented the flavours well. My sister enjoyed the chicken gyozas as well.
The fried tofu on the Black Garlic Tofu Miso Ramen was done to perfection. Just how I like it: fried crispy outer shell, silky soft interior. The ramen itself was pretty good. I liked the soup base.
My sister enjoyed her Spicy Teriyaki Miso Ramen as well.
Would recommend! It was a total pleasure for the senses. Wonderful dining experience. Don’t miss if...
