We were craving some Chinese food and I was not coming in with high expectations. It is always hard to find decent Chinese food that is reasonably priced and that have good flavor. We walked in and it was not super busy. We ate around 1730. The majority of the customers were Asian. The atmosphere was ok. It was definitely what you would expect walking in to an Asian restaurant. It wasn't a hole in the wall place. It was clean, but dim in there. They do offer free Wi-Fi, which is a huge plus for some. We ordered a few different entrees and have read that the entrees are smaller than what you would expect. We ordered beef noodle soup, eggplant dish, fried rice with vegetables, and fried dumplings. The beef noodle soup dish was a surprise. It had great flavor, but I wish they added a little more beef in my opinion. Other than that the meat was tender and it definitely could have filled someone up with that meal. There were 10 dumplings in the order. Personally, I believed it was made fresh and not frozen or store bought. That was a relief. The dipping sauce had a good flavor and with a little bit of hot sauce it just made it that much better. Secondly, the fried rice was tasty, but the dish was a little bit smaller, but would go well paired with an entree for a meal for someone or even to split. Lastly, the eggplant dish was so-so. It had the right flavors, but maybe some more sauce would have made it a little more pleasant. It was a little dry without sauce in my opinion. Overall good food and the service was so-so. The food came out at a timely matter. All the food that was ordered was filling for three people. We were not able to finish some of the dishes. We definitely tried to over...
Read moreReally tasty Chinese - as good as you can get in UK takeaways.
The egg fried rice and chick noodles (chow mein) were great with lots of meat and veg included. The prawns with vegetables lacked too many prawns (7 shared by 3 of us) but the chicken and peanut dish (not satay but cooked whole peanuts) was delicious.
It was a bit quiet inside but this was midweek and only 8pm.
Decor is basic at best, and the TV blasting out Chinese K-Pop (C-Pop?) was a distraction but the food and the price more than made up for it. Only costing €31 for 3 people including drinks!
We'll be going back to try the other dishes we couldn't fit in...
