LOT ROASTERS — Local services in Barcelona

I have one star because I couldn’t give less. Arrogance is the first word that comes to mind when thinking of Lot Roasters. The folks that run the place do not care for their clients. We had to wait a long while to be waited on because the server was chatting with friends or in the back. There were hardly any customers. We he did wait on us he was extremely arrogant in answering our questions and telling us about their products. He explained that they recently starting serving to the general public, but they have been around for a while serving to establishments in the hospitality industry. They should just go back to letting others serve their coffee and chocolate. Their customer service is non-existent. While their products are decent, the service and attitude are terrible. We are locals and live close. We were excited for a new place serving speciality coffee in the neighborhood. We’ve been twice to give it a second shot and had the same experience. Won’t be returning. As we waited for the opening of the hotpot restaurant for lunch on 25th, Dec. 2021, a sunny Saturday and our last day of the trip in Barcelona, I came across this treasure.

Several family with children already sit there. The lady friendly showed us around. Love the coffee here, and bought chocolate as a gift for my friend. Could not remember which i ordered after being told no cold brew available, my damaged brain due to long-covid... But I do remember the joy and nice atmosphere here.

More details: I asked the lady whether i could get a cup of coffee because i was not sure, the answer was yes. Just from the outside, it is quite difficult to recognise, at least for me, it sells coffee to drink! She also answered my another question, why it is open on Christmas, as she wants people to have the chance to meet and drink coffee together....

Hands down without a doubt this cafe is like the Apple equivalent of Coffee/cacao store. As you walk into the “Cacao Bar” you know that the coffee and chocolate are artisanal and crafted.

The cacao geniuses produce everything onsite including brewing the beans on site as they feature an open Brew area. The baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable and their roasts are great.

The design of this cafe/cacao bar is really top notch combining the original Spanish tiles and original molding with modern sleek top of the line machinery. I really appreciate the “less is more” aesthetic.
