Bar de Plaça — Restaurant in Begur

RAW CHICKEN.!!!! Long story short we were severed a raw chicken fillet with the centre part grilled but along one edge (4cms) its was raw. Not just lightly cooked, it was oink on the outside very obvious. When confronting the chef he was very relaxed and only said if we wanted it cooked more. Very poor and dangerous service, waiters also were looking st me as if I was the crazy one. This could KILL somebody older or that may not be as strong as us, we are young adults and had much more sense then the waiter and chefs. Please avoid this restaurant, if this is the attitude of the chef and waiter, they will do it again as no apology was given......We never leave reviews but this needs to be said, we have no photo as it was taken away from us before we got the change. We had to pay for the meal... this was only today so we are not sure if we will end up in hospital as it was...

The food was average ( nothing special at all), but the service, at the very end , by the owners was terrible. We ordered a desert that was clearly in bad state and we kindly asked to exchange. At the end , they charged us for it , and defended that this was only our idea. We argued that 4 people tasted the desert and we all had the sense it had gone bad , and that the rest was ok. A discussion started where they said our opinion didn’t matter and at the end we left with. It only an average food but a terrible service. For a 4€ desert, they turned an okey-ish experience in a terrible one. Highly recommend staying away from a place that prefers to start a heavy fight other than loosing a desert.

I just wanted to share my fantastic experience during my recent three-day visit to Begur. We ended up dining, having drinks, and enjoying breakfast at your establishment three times, which truly speaks to the quality you offer!

The food was absolutely outstanding. The croquetas were delightful, and the tuna tartare was not only delicious but also a surprisingly generous portion. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. All of the young staff members were incredibly charismatic and attentive to every table's needs. A special mention to Raul, who was truly the best – his attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our visits even more enjoyable.

If anyone finds themselves in the Begur area, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this wonderful restaurant a try. You certainly won't be...
