I recently had the most delightful experience at Cafe Soleil in Benalmádena, Spain, and I feel compelled to share just how special this visit was. Tucked away in the vibrant Puerto Marina, this charming cafe is a hidden gem that combines exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. From the moment I stepped onto their sunny terrace, I knew I was in for a treat, and Cafe Soleil exceeded every expectation.
The star of my visit was undoubtedly Sara, a beautiful and incredibly kind young waitress from Málaga who made the experience unforgettable. Her genuine warmth and enthusiasm shone through as she greeted me with a radiant smile, instantly making me feel welcome. Sara’s knowledge of the menu and her passion for the food were evident when she recommended the Irish breakfast, describing it with such excitement that I couldn’t resist trying it. Let me tell you, her recommendation was spot-on—this dish was nothing short of out of this world! The Irish breakfast was a hearty, perfectly balanced plate featuring crispy bacon, juicy Irish sausages, a rich slice of black pudding, a golden fried egg, Heinz beans, and a crispy hash brown. Every component was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and served with care. It was the kind of meal that warms both your heart and soul, and I can still taste the comforting, savory goodness just thinking about it.
Beyond the food, the coffee at Cafe Soleil is simply exceptional. I’m a bit of a coffee enthusiast, and their brew did not disappoint. It was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced—easily one of the best cups I’ve had in Benalmádena.
The setting itself is another reason to love Cafe Soleil. The terrace overlooks the marina, offering a picturesque view of boats bobbing in the water and the buzz of the harbor. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere, whether you’re enjoying a leisurely breakfast, sipping a cocktail, or watching live sports on their screens. The cafe’s decor is stylish yet unpretentious, with a lounge vibe that invites you to linger a little longer. Despite being slightly off the main route, as some reviews mention, it’s absolutely worth seeking out. Once you find it, you’ll wonder why it’s not on every traveler’s radar.
I also appreciated the value for money. The Irish breakfast, coffee, and fresh orange juice were reasonably priced for the quality and portion size, especially considering the prime location in Puerto Marina. The menu itself is diverse, offering everything from gourmet burgers to flavorful tapas and expertly crafted cocktails, so there’s something for everyone. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their offerings, perhaps one of their famous Philly cheese steak sandwiches or a refreshing draft beer, as other reviewers have raved about.
In short, Cafe Soleil is a must-visit in Benalmádena, and Sara’s exceptional service made it an experience I’ll cherish. Her recommendation of the Irish breakfast was a highlight, and the excellent coffee and fresh orange juice were the perfect accompaniments. This cafe embodies everything you want in a dining experience: delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and staff who genuinely care about their guests.
Thank you, Sara, and the entire Cafe Soleil team, for a morning that felt like a warm hug. I’ll be back soon, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to make a stop at this little slice of paradise...
