Metro - Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Benalmádena

We as a family ate yesterday in Metro Italian Restaurant, Puerto Marina, Benalmadena for our Christmas Lunch. Choosing the set Menu of Starters, Mains, Dessert ( makes it sound boring but it was FAR. From it!! )

We have to say that EVERYTHING was faultless!! It was also worth every € at €45pp.

Service, fantastic as always and given the occasion was surprisingly extra relaxed. All ran without any hiccups, from taking orders to delivering our food, timing was incredible and nothing was too much trouble! Food, simply amazing!! Not any complaints, not even a suggestion. The Menu was put together perfectly, quantities generous, presentation beautiful and the quality of cooking and produce impeccable, nothing overcooked, even the sprouts were cooked to perfection and the Turkey was succulent and full of flavor! There was a subtle twist on everything just to add some uniqueness and Christmas magic but still keeping with tradition. We left full and content and without anything to moan about. Not sure we have ever been able to say that before!!

If we had been able to book for next Christmas we would have done so immediately!!

THE BEST place in the Marina. We have walked by this place so many times over the years. Big mistake! Tried tonight for the first Time and every single piece of food was amazing. We got Garlic Bread with Cheese and the Meatballs to start, kids bolognese and Pizza came with the starters so we could enjoy our mains. How I had space left for mains I do not know as I picked at the kids meals too.

I got the Lasagne for mains. So big couldn't finish it. The other half got the Angus Burger (cooked medium - his choice)

We both agreed it was the best meal we've had in our 9 days. We are going to go again tomorrow (our last night) as we were so impressed.

The service was second to none. We were seated with a view of the kitchen and the waiting staff were literally flying around. The bar staff were also run off their feet sending out drinks and making cocktails that looked amazing.

We have been to Torremelinos 3 times in the last four years and I am honestly disappointed that we never visited before. Price was €82 for food and we threw a €10 tip in as we were so impressed.

We have been to Gaucho twice, however, which operates from the same kitchen. This is more a steakhouse but equally as nice and same wait staff.

We stopped here for a drink and food and thought the place looked really nice. We sat down, I went to use the bathroom and came back and we still hadn't been served. We tried to get the attention of the staff but they were too busy walking around looking either at the sky or the opposite way. The place wasn't busy so it can't be blamed on the staff being rushed off their feet serving. After 10 minutes of feeling invisible we got up and left, the staff saw us get up ready to leave and at this point I thought they were going to come over and see to us, but no they carried on doing nothing!!! Can't rate the food as we never got a chance to sample it. Cocktails are twice the process of other places further down. We went further down and found a superb place called Latinas- service, food and everything was far more superior. I think it's clear to say that we won't go back or...
