Our group consisted of 4 adults and a 6 year old. We were initially attracted to the restaurant by its kerb appeal, overall appearance and the busy vibe we saw the previous evening. One of our group is gluten intolerant and we had experienced difficulties earlier in the week in other restaurants. Tatiana and Caroline were very helpful, knowledgeable and honest about the choices of gluten free food available. The pasta chosen was delicious and came with gluten free bread. Our 6 year old was given his meal extremely quickly, as requested. The menu had some excellent choices in food and traditional and 'different' drinks available too. All were reasonably priced. We have been to other La Mafia restaurants where the staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is the third time we have been to this restaurant. The staff are very unfriendly, cold to the point of being rude. They don't even consider taking requests outside of the menu where other La Mafia restaurants were more than happy to accommodate our requests. These requests are not something difficult, changing one type of pasta for another. Were were having a great evening despite the staff and after 1 hour 45 minutes they asked us to leave as they wanted the table. We visited La Mafia as a group of 8 adults and 8 kids, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. They gave us a brilliant seating area that let the kids enjoy themselves while we relaxed and enjoyed our meal.

The service was absolutely top-class — a huge thank you to Carol and Antonio who looked after us like royalty. The food was unbelievably cheap for the amount and quality we got — everything was so tasty and perfectly cooked.
