Coco Bongo Benalmadena — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Where do we start. Could not disagree with the other reviews more.. a very poor experience.. a decent welcome from a young waiter and old man (owner?). Ordered drinks that took a while, but ok. Ordered food however most of the menu was unavailable. Also realised there was only 1 staff member running the place. Waited over an hour for our food (cooked by the waiter) for 3 out of our 13 meals to arrive. Then found out the deep fat fryer wasn't working so the chef/waiter was pan frying our chips. After the burgers had been eaten the rest of the food was still being prepared. The old guy sat there drinking lemon water throughout our service. After being in the bar for over an hour and a half we had only received the 3 burgers and had only been offered 1 round of drinks. Despite the best efforts of the young waiter, we had to leave before the other food was ready. A highly disappointing experience. We won't...

We find it really hard to find a nice place to eat because of our 7 year old being so picky but when we tried coco bongo the owner was extra caring toward our children bringing out testers of drink so my youngest could find 1 he liked ( he doesn't like the unknown). And when we were waiting for our food he brought out some mini games for the kids to play which he just did we didn't ask for that (that's was so nice of him) then our food came and OMG it was amazing I had a burger it was lovely my partner had chicken skewers and that chicken was the best we have had in a long time the kids had a pizza and that didn't last long and the chips that came with the food was really nice our experience...

The place definitely deserves some attention, but I had a mixed experience. One star was lost due to cleanliness, an unpleasant smell inside, and the terrace area where we were seated, which seems to belong to a neighboring abandoned business in poor condition. Another star was lost because of the burger — it was advertised as a smash burger, but it didn’t resemble one at all, and the bread was very dry. On the positive side, the location is nice, close to the beach with a good view. It feels like the team is new and still finding its structure, so with better coordination this spot could...
