The Dizzy Donkey — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Had a fabulous time tonight, Alicia and the team were lovely, really friendly and took time to speak to each table, cocktails / mocktails were delightful! (We tried a few).. A nice touch of tapas with each drink, arrived too late to try the Black pudding tortilla, however the plain ones were lovely, we ended up ordering a selection of tapas t ok finish off the day!.. really good atmosphere and we'll certainly ensure we call back once or twice before leaving ☺️

Update Aug 2024: we've become frequent visitors to visit the Dizzy Donkey every time we've been in the area, we've been lucky to manage two breaks to Benalmadana this year, Adam & Alicia are fantastic hosts, always a warm welcome from the team, great food & drink, and a pleasant evening all round 😎.. We'll be visiting again a few times in this vacation, and already looking forward to revisiting next year!! 😎 Pear & Blue cheese salads is one of my favourites, and the new black pudding...

Visited here twice whilst on holiday last week and quite frankly they were the highlights of our week in benalmadena. The fist time we were just goin in for a quick drink .but as soon as we sat down adam and Alicia and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming that we decided to stay for a few more drinks then cocktails which were amazing and so reasonably priced ....then we tried the tapas dishes were soooo amazing ,full of flavour it was so good we booked for a evening meal which excelled our expectations, we stayed most of the night and Adam and Alicia are so friendly warm and welcoming u feel relaxed and comfortable. we had plenty of cocktails ...the zombie cocktail is a must have BUT it is strong ...u have to try it trust me u won't be disappointed..... If u want to relax have great food and drinks at a place that makes you feel your on holiday then this is a no1 spot to go 👍👍❤️ We wish u all the success that u...

Came here for a night cap after a walk along marina but when we got there we were told they were closing. It was about 11pm and there were a number of tables occupied outside. We said fine and started to walk away back to the beach bars below, but we happened to spot what we thought was another bar the other side of the DD space. We went over and sure enough a wee cocktail bar Al Mika (https://instagram.com/al.mika.bar?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) ran by two of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I will write them a separate review. What I found to be in poor taste is that as we sat at Al Mika, we watched as Dizzy Donkey staff continued to bring out drinks for people sat on the terrace for around the next 45 mins, and they did not think to say to us, there is a nice bar there if you are after a drink and direct us to their neighbours. You would have thought that's the least they would do having turned us away....
