Nahar Mahal Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Very poor experience here tonight.after reading some reviews that at best are misleading we decided to go there. On arrival we were met by a surly waiter and were seated in the restaurant, windows open ceiling fans on but no air-conditioning, but it was OK. The man took our order and served poppadoms and chutneys and our drinks. I ordered Matter keema, which I enjoy back home my wife ordered chicken bhuna and our vegetarian friend ordered king prawn curry extra spicy. The food came and it was tastles,no spices,no flavour, the king prawn curry had only 4 prawns and the various breads were all dumped in the one basket. As we started to eat, another waiter came and asked if our food was OK. I said no, not really, and he walked away,no comment. We finished our drinks,left the food, and left the premises on the way out. The other waiter ignored us completely. We were the only diners there at the time. Don't waste your time and money...

I don't like to leave bad reviews, it's your business and can affect you buissnes negative, but I ordered a take away on Saturday from you, it was the worst meal I've ever had from your restaurant, it took over over two hours to be delivered, the delivery guy got lost and was at the wrong address even after the guy on the phone who took my order repeated it five times! When the food finally turned up it was freezing cold... In edible... And we was one dish missing... It's very bad business... I threw every thing in the rubbish, it's not a good way to treat your customers. I am a very unhappy customer. When we called we was told your food has left....we live 10 mins from your restaurant.... The food never arrived to my house for another 45 mins!!! I even sent you an email... rather than this review.. But you did even...

We were passing this restaurant while looking for somewhere for dinner on 30 Jan 2024. A quick check of customer reviews indicated that it would be a good choice. It was. Very, very good food - poppadoms, chicken balti, king prawn bhuna, pilau rice and onion kulcha (first time I’ve tried that). All fantastic. The owner is a lovely chap who we spoke with after eating. Sadly could not give 5 stars for atmosphere as we were the only diners.
