Noor Mahal Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Benalmádena

I have been a loyal customer of this Indian restaurant for the past 12 years, and in the past, it has always been my go-to place for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and has left me feeling frustrated and let down.

The starters, which included my favorite onion bhaji, were served after the main course, and to make matters worse, they were burnt and completely inedible. We brought this to the attention of the staff and they really could not care and merely stated that they would let the chef know.

The staff seemed more interested in watching the football game on TV than paying attention to their customers, and it took multiple requests for us to even get refills on our drinks.

I was extremely disappointed with the level of service and the quality of the food at this restaurant, and I will not be returning. It's a shame to see such a once-great establishment go downhill like this. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and it's clear that they have lost touch with what made them so popular in the first place.

The restaurant was in all terms reasonable fairly clean, clean glasses, the fella who serves your pretty much straight to the point not standing around and or hovering asked what you wanted then left came back with what ever then left, my favourite type of table service

Food Top notch apart from the onion barji, huge let down. I got a lamb jalfezi as it's my benchmark asked for hot maybe got medium not sure if I confused him lamb melted in the mouth pretty much everything did 8/10,

pelu rice nice and soft good flavour 8/10,

cheese naan The naan was nice but I think they ran out of normal cheese and used sliced meh 6/10,

The barji omg what a shame I can't comment on the flavour because it was like slices instead of what you would expect 5/10

Atmosphere I love Indian music but Bollywood movies always I never went to be wowed I ment to have a nice Indian and did

Price Very very reasonable could charge more and wouldn't moan the barji I would tho

If ya like lamb 👌🏼 worth a crack, just avoid the barji nothing wrong with it just nothing...

We have been regulars at this place for 10 years +, often making the 200 km round trip to go there above any other curry house we know. Well, not any more. It started a few weeks ago when we turned up for lunch and got ignored (we were the only ones there) because cleaning was far more important than providing us with a menu and some drinks. We returned two weeks ago to find service was even worse, the food was average (in comparison), no more regulars' discount, no extra chilli sauce, no interest in how hot we wanted the food, ... We were the first ones there, got our starter and then saw the remaining people arriving and being served (13 more), with some even finishing and leaving, while we were still waiting for our mains. No apology, no nothing. Thankfully, on this occasion we weren't in a hurry, but nevertheless I'm afraid we shan't...
