Cafeteria Ideals — Restaurant in Benidorm

Very cheap and cheerful. We paid for the 3 course set meal with 1/2ltr wine included 11,5 Eur. The salad starter was very large and good, mixed green leaves, olives, pickle onions, goats cheese, smoked salmon and tomatoes but the second course was not so good ; I had steak and chips, the chips were over cooked French Fries that fired across the table when I tried to use my fork!! The steak was 2/3rds gristle and the rest had been beaten so hard and long with a steak malet that it was SHREDDED, the pepper sauce was actually a cheese sauce with cracked pepper corns in it and was very tasty. Just stopped for a small English breakfast €3:50, a coffee (with a small glass of extra cream/lovely😋). Finished with a refreshing glass of fresh orange juice. A lovely start to the day. Friendly staff and they could understand my poor Spanish. They also spoke enough English for me to place an order with no issues (thank you). Outside seating, fresh table cover for each customer. Miserable service, order was incorrect & when reported waiter shrugged shoulders & walked off. Just all round terrible, wasn’t offered any discount or change of meal despite being very specific when ordering due to allergies, basically ‘ no egg or tomato please ‘ is what we asked for with ‘ english ‘ breakfast. Came out with both, toast not toasted, spanish streaky bacon....
