Coffee Benidorm — Restaurant in Benidorm

Called into the Indoor market for a look round and went to the Coffee Benidorm for a drink. It's a while since ladt here and found the cafe had recently been taken over by Gary. What a lovely friendly man he was. He makes all his own cakes as well. We ordered a coffee and a proper mug of tea(lovely) and a massive homemade bakewell tart each, absolutely best we have had anywhere. We called in again a couple of days later and bought 8 of them to bring back to the UK with us. We came in on our holiday and got a piece of cake and a “coke” and a “Pepsi” from what is said on the menu- to the guy saying he’ll get us the Pepsi and coke to only hand us over 2 Pepsi Max’s. Menu and what you get is 2 different things. Only bad thing about the place is that it is cash only and there is no signage or posters saying cash only or the guy telling people he’s only cash only. we only found out when we went to pay which wasn’t the best as we had to pay a €5 fee at the atm machine. A warm, genuine, friendly welcome, serving homemade cakes at a fair price. Not tried any of the other food, but I'm sure it is all equally nice. He only took it over in September 2024, so ignore the bad reviews you see on here. ( And to be fair, read them, they sound like just grumpy negative 'Karens', one gave 1 star because they didn't get their toastie, get a grip!!)
