During our brief visit to Benidorm, we found ourselves returning to 'Roman', a charming beachfront restaurant, not once but twice. This speaks volumes about the quality of the dining experience this establishment offers.
'Roman' truly shines through its culinary offerings. The food was not just good, it was exceptional. The star of our meals was undoubtedly the burger, which was cooked to perfection. It was honestly one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, with a balance of flavors that was simply sublime. It's a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
The other dishes we sampled, including the Caesar salad and the croquettes, were equally impressive. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, a perfect companion to the hearty burger. The croquettes, a traditional Spanish delicacy, were delightful, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a testament to the chef's skills.
The beverage selection was excellent as well. The beer was refreshingly good, and my partner praised the quality of the cocktails, which were mixed to perfection. It's worth noting that a good drink can elevate a meal, and at 'Roman', they clearly understand this.
The service at 'Roman' was as impressive as the food. The staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Roman, the host, deserves special mention for his warm hospitality and excellent service, which added to the overall charm of the place.
In conclusion, 'Roman' offers a delightful dining experience. From the perfectly cooked food to the excellent service and the refreshing beverages, it ticks all the right boxes. The burger, Caesar salad, and croquettes are highlights that should not be missed.
We would definitely visit 'Roman' again on our next trip to Benidorm, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience in this...
Read moreOne star is already generous. I could have given two stars for the view, but the overall experience was so disappointing that even one star feels too much.
I went with my mother. She wanted grilled chicken, and I planned to order a Paella just for myself. When ordering, the waitress informed me that Paella had a minimum order for two people. I found that very strange and even asked what would happen if I were traveling alone (which I often do) — would I simply not be allowed to have Paella? It makes no sense.
Since I really wanted to try it, my mother agreed to share it with me. We waited quite a long time for the dish, and when it finally arrived, there was yet another disappointment:
I had ordered a mixed Paella (which should include seafood, red meat, chicken, etc.), but what we received was basically salty rice with chicken and perhaps two small pieces of prawn. That was it. For the price charged, the portion and quality were simply unacceptable.
We ate because we were hungry, but I did complain to the waitress at the end. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she tried to convince me that I was wrong — which is not the kind of response a...

From a group of 8 people, a few of them ordered starters which were pretty expensive for a starter and a large portion. These starters took quite a lot of time to come out the kitchen and they wasn’t brought together. One member of the group was still waiting for his starter 5 minutes after the others had been brought out.
Once all the starters were out, the mains were suddenly being brought across even though the starters were not finished which then led to one person having his main sat next to his starter.
While some of the food looked good, others were not the best. For example a pepperoni pizza had been well overcooked but the kitchen seemed to think burnt pepperoni was acceptable to serve.
When it came to the bill, we discovered another meal had been added to it by mistake.
Once paid, the waitress seemed to just assume the €10 change was a tip and just pocketed it...
