Just had another Sunday dinner (3rd Sunday on the bounce lol). Excellent once again . The portions are of a good size. Had roast beef and it was good quality . Plenty of veg, broccoli green beans cabbage and mashed carrots and swede. A separate portion of cauliflower cheese , mashed and roast potatoes ....the roasties are excellent .and a Yorkshire pud. The prawn cocktail starter is served with brown bread and butter and is overloaded with prawns , also a couple in their shell . We managed a dessert this time, lemon meringue sundae was tasty, tho the missus had the cheese cake but she wernt impressed with it. It's all presented really well. Unfortunately an over cooked fried egg, which to me ruins a breakfast One waitress looking after numerous busy tables in a popular restaurant and doing her best. A (and not her fault) ten minute wait until my order was taken and a further twenty five minute wait for my breakfast to be delivered to the table. When I asked for the bill and on checking my change it was €1 short. Again not her fault, it’s obviously to much for one person. Read moreIn July we tried to eat here as I love American style diner's, however upon entering this strange establishment the manager or owner approached us and said we were fully booked in a stressed voice, we looked around and half the tables were empty?!. Didnt look fully booked. I've been to many American diner's in my time.... Never one you had to book a table before going, thats usually what you do going to a fancy restaurant.
