Bizitza — Restaurant in Bilbao

My favourite bar in Bilbao, I've been coming here for more than a decade and little has changed (if it ain't broke...).

One of a small cluster of leftie/pro-independence bars, though their politics is fairly subtle. Bizitza is a queer bar, with rainbow and feminist flags behind the bar, but is welcoming to everyone.

A great place to sit outside during the day and people watch and a great spot to spend a good chunk of a night out too.

Bar de toda la vida, hace más de 30 años la primera vez que entre, la última fue en agosto. Con la distancia que da el tiempo que ha pasado ya puedo decir que fue LAMENTABLE la actitud del ¿"jefe "?. Resumido: Me siento dentro con mi familia y voy a la barra a pedir las consumiciones. Al ver que me las pone en plástico le digo al camarero que por favor me las ponga en cristal que estamos sentados dentro y formales (en familia),. Me dice que son órdenes del jefe, yo le comento que vale, que le comunique mi parecer. Le pago y me siento tranquilamente con la familia. Al poco se acerca a la mesa un individuo ¿"el jefe "? y con aires muy chulescos nos devuelve el dinero (con golpecito pá que suene) y nos dice: "Y ahora ya podéis iros cuando queráis..." Y en algunos de estos locales regentados por este tipo de individuos nos encontramos con el : SOS...
