Harrobia — Restaurant in Bilbao

We took the 37 € menu. It was not that much moneybworth. We could not finish most of the dishes. Weird combinations of food that did not work. The pulpo carpaccio was 0,5 cm thick and chewy and did not taste of anything. The mushrooms also didn't taste of anything besides water. They seemed boiled and not fried. We had to use the same cutlery for the whole menu (although after asking we got a new pair before the steak, because it was full of ink from the pulpo sauce). Only the steak was worth mention if it wasn't for the undercooked french fries which came along with it. The service was not good at all. It is fair that they do not speak english, but they did not say anthing and seem like they did not wanted to be there and just wanted to evening to finish so they could get off work. In generel a really dissapointing meal we have had in bilbao, and cannot reccomend...

Great restaurant and great experience! The dishes available were diverse and interesting. Excellent value for the money. The set menu (for 16 euros) included 8 choices each for the appetizer, main course and dessert, plus bread, a bottle of chilled water and a bottle of wine. The waiter was patient and helpful, but their English menu was poorly translated, my only gripe. The cheesecake was a delight, light and creamy. Pork knuckle was tender with a flavorful gravy. All dishes at our table for two were tasty, well prepared...

Menu por la noche sounded good. Marmitako was delicious, arroz con setas was a bit raw for the rice :( A wrap with museline de merluza y gambas was ok but bacalao-pil-pil was very raw. The new plate served after we asked it to be longer cooked was delicious. The pumped up waiter was doing the minimum by serving us, but not bringing any experience or athmosphere to us.
