A Local Treasure in Bilbao

We are so happy we found MalaVolta – Restaurante de pasta fresca during our visit to Bilbao. This charming local spot is absolutely worth the walk. The homemade pasta and sauces are fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

A big thank you to the restaurant owner and server, Mikal, who made the experience even more memorable with warm and attentive service.

Thank you again, Mikal! We'll definitely be back the next time...

LA MEJOR PASTA!!! PASTARIK HONENA!!!

La comida está deliciosa!!! Pintxos, ensalada, nachos, platos de pasta, postre, café... Todo está estupendo!!! Jatekoa ederra dago!!! Pintxoak, entsalada, natxoak, pasta platerak, postrea, kafea... Dana itzel!!!

La comida, todo bueno. Nos gusta comer y casi no acabamos. Hemos salido saciados. El café, el mejor de todo Bilbo. La pasta y sus salsas, se salen. Hemos probado varios y todos contentos. Los postres caseros, increíbles. He probado todos, aunque son distintos, en su mundo, todos buenisimos!!! Janaria dana gozo!!! Jatunak gara eta ez dugu amaitu. Asetuta amaitu dugu. Bilboko kaferik onena. Pasta eta saltsak, ezin hobeak. Ezberdinak jan eta danok pozik. Etxean eginiko postreak, danak ezin hobeak. Denak dastatu ditut, ezberdinak izan arren, beraien munduan denak ederto.

El servicio, perfecto. Todo a detalle, amables, serviciales, atent@s... La cocina, se lleva mis alabanzas. Zerbizu paregabea. Jakinean daude, atseginak, adi dabiltza... Sukaldekoek nire...

But it’s not the usual classic Italian pasta, it goes to different places like Miami pastrami, or Thai cuisine to match its pasta with “unusual” flavors.
