We love our food, we had 4 encrote steaks. 1 of them was fine the other 3 served up to us looked like the scrag ends of he joint . Steaks not seasoned, no real flavour and alot of gristle. All left on plates, fries over seasoned. Lots of staff but they dont pay attention. They just lifted tbe plates of the table we were never asked how our meal was during or after. Must be worse meal in Bilbao. Sorry best thing was mixed salad. Staff where unpleasant did not really want us there and they never smile, who would walking around in old fasioned blue ties uniform out dated. Thzt shoild have been a warning sign. Love black and whites, inbtbe right surrondings and this was not the place. We ate in a Galican style place night before in the old town and we had most amazing food the bill was 30 euro more expensive. We had bottle of wine, 4 main courses, 1 dessert 2 coffees a d a brandy. Service and quality of food was 100...

This is a wonderfully located restaurant with much local patronage. We visited in early October and we ate in the bar area and the food is mainly pintxo based with small dishes which we see all over Bilbao (dusk views are well worth staying). The views over Bilbao are the main attraction and you can ride the funicular to/from the main township.

As English speakers with basic Spanish, we could see there was a decent wine selection but the food is a little limited with little variation from pintxos, hamburgesos and the dessert menu with cakes are also limited. I can't speak for the restaurant area which was empty at the time but they probably have a different a-la-carte menu most likely.

The service was very good and served with a smile. We also had explanations if some food were going to take longer...

We had a dinner there. The food is just awful. I rarely post reviews like this but the food is expensive and not delicious at all. The only tasty food we ordered were grilled scallops. We ordered fish soup and veg/fish rice. It was not delicious but ok. But the main course we’re just awful. We ordered fish in 2 sauces which was eatable but paying 22 euro for it was painful. And we ordered a meat which was completely uneatable. We tried it and left it almost untouched. Of course we were charged for it. And also we were charged for tap(!!) water and bread which we didn’t ask. I don’t recommend this place. The bill was 80 euro for 2 persons and it was the worst food for the...

A lovely old building just 3-4 minutes away from the top of the funicular station in Artxanda. The coconut tart and strawberry/chocolate/cream/pastry desserts were very good. We had 2 glasses of Txakoli too - a bit too dry for us. We also had 1 good portion of pintxos - morcilla. The menu is only in Spanish but one waiter spoke good English. The bill came to 11 euros which was great value. The only downside was that the waiter seemed to deliberately short change us at the end by 5 euros but gave it to us when we were about to query it with the staff.
