Restaurant Marathon — Restaurant in Blanes

Alright, even in a fishing 'village' like Blanes -- where there are plenty of great fish restaurants that get their seafood fresh from the local fish auction -- there are time when you've got to have meat.

Remember that travelers advice that says you should always eat where the locals eat? Well, check out the long lines in front of Restaurant Marathon each and every night. The food here is well worth the wait.

We eat at Marathon again and again for their wonderful shoarma. And, of course, for the even better spare ribs (yes, they're not listed on the menu, but order them anyway).

We took two pitas giros away to eat on the beach and the food was very good (real pitas like in Greece !). They brew their own beer and it is excellent too (we tasted the "thor",7,5% of hapiness). They were very kind and did our order immediately despide the people in the restaurant. The waitress speak spanish, english and a bit french and greek ! We liked this place, these people...

The food was okay, but the menu card was very small, with a lot of pork, the food and especially the salad I orderd was too simple compared the price I paid for it.
