A Hidden Gem of Moroccan Cuisine in Córdoba!

Finding authentic Moroccan (and halal!) food can be a delightful challenge, especially when navigating new streets with a mobility scooter. I was beginning to think I wouldn't find a suitable spot until a kind travel guide noticed me looking at some steps and offered help. He recommended Beity ibn rush, and I'm so glad he did!

This charming restaurant is tucked away in the "Little Street of the Moon" (callejuela de la luna), right behind the historic Gate of the Moon – a place where astronomers once observed the lunar cycles during the Caliphate. The location itself adds to the special atmosphere.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean and tranquil the place was. We sat at one of the outdoor tables, enjoying the peaceful sound of a nearby fountain and the chirping of birds. The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even more pleasant.

Now, for the food! The dishes were incredibly authentic and flavorful. I ordered the harira, chicken kabsah, and lamb couscous, and each dish was absolutely delicious. It was clear that care and tradition went into every bite.

I will definitely be coming back to Beity ibn rush on my next visit to Córdoba. If you're looking for an accessible, authentic, and truly delightful Moroccan dining experience, this...

Our experience at this restaurant was exceptional! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors—rich spices, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. The warmth and hospitality of the staff truly stood out: Hind and Jack went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering attentive service with genuine smiles. A special highlight was the chef taking the time to personally visit our table, sharing insights about the Moroccan dishes and their cultural roots. This personal touch added depth to our meal and made the evening unforgettable.

The combination of delicious food, kind service, and the chef’s passion for Moroccan cuisine created a memorable dining experience. We’ll absolutely return on our next visit to Cordoba and highly recommend this gem to anyone craving a taste of Morocco in the...

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and superb service from an attentive young man who provided helpful feedback and insight on the dishes we were considering. We chose the Pomegranate juice, Spinach Rolls, Lamb Tajin and Lamb Kabsa, and Kunafah Averroes for dessert with Moroccan tea. Everything was outstanding! The flavours, the textures, the preparation and presentation, and the scents and spices offered a unique food experience. For dessert, the Kunafah Averroes cannot be missed. Enjoy! The subtle intoxicating scent from the night shade Jasmine beside our table was also sublime. Highly recommend!
