Rarely feel impelled to slate a place. Went on the recommendation and high score.plus points. Atmosphere. Service. The food an absolute disaster and worse still guessing not the Chefs fault I feel more likely the Groupo Rosales accountant. Almost everything you might want is off the non printed QR menu. Photo is the posted menu note the deleted items. Picked 2 Andulusian dishes starter a mish mash of fried breadcumbs. Pointless dry unappetising cheap stuffing, think cheap supermarket leftovers at 5 pm Christmas Eve. Worse to come, ordered Pork Shank as the main and the helpful waiter at least brought a plate for the bones. Removed the fat and bones absolutely nothing left, not a morsel. The potato slices underneath were tasty and the sauce good so the chef is competent. Pointed out this to the waiter who returned with another shank exactly the same. My humble recommendation is have a local sherry or coffee enjoy the courtyard and don't touch the menu.
In retrospect looking critically at the good reviews, they look bought to me, from long distance reviewers. Suggest the accountant spends more on indegredients and less subcontinental reviews. Feel totally ripped off at €26 for nothing and heading to...
Read moreWe chose it because it was near to the our accommodation. The food was delicious. All the dishes we ordered were faultless. If you visit, I recommend you the Salmorejo cordobés and Ajo blanco con manzana y pasas soups. They're great. The atmosphere - definitely not a place where you can feel the Spanish hospitality. It was a Sunday evening and there were four tables of us in the restaurant with three waiters. They served us kindly, but without caring if we felt well and if we liked the food. During our stay we were not once asked if everything was ok. The main course of meat arrived 15 minutes faster than the orange juice, even though we ordered them together. The interior was nondescript - one room with pictures and drawings of horses which doesn't fit in at all interior with the emblematic Cordobas blue pots. In the wind, the awning on the roof was constantly bumping, rattling and making a loud noise because it was not properly secured. At one point we were just the visitors and the staff disappeared. It was scary. We expected the restaurant to apologize for this (not for wind), but they didn't. Definitely it not my place because they sell you food but...
Read moreThe venue undoubtedly boasts a delightful atmosphere. During my visit, I ordered venison with sauce, honey-glazed eggplant, artichoke, and a glass of white wine. The live flamenco music played by a guitarist added to the charm, creating a perfect setting for a lovely lunch experience. The bill for two came to €50, which I found quite reasonable given the ambiance and quality of the offerings.
However, there were a few minor hiccups. Initially, they forgot to bring the venison, and I had to remind the waiter. Once it arrived, while the wine was delightful, the sauce on the venison overpowered the meat’s natural flavor, which I found a bit excessive. The eggplant was decent, though considering the venue's overall quality, it could have been better.
Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was positive. The combination of live music, charming atmosphere, and reasonably priced menu makes this place a standout. If you're in the area, I believe this venue offers a more affordable and atmospheric dining experience compared to its alternatives. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you appreciate a lively and...
