Well, this was a surprise! Have seen lots of Archaeological Museums. This one was small (so you weren't overwhelmed by endless broken bits of pottery and bronze age bits). But it was curated and presented in an informative, varied way. Example: they used 3D printers to produce copies of objects, so you could have a tactile experience in handling them. We liked how they also had thematic displays as well as the chronological narratives you normally find. Integrating the ruins of the Roman Theatre in the basement, was the icing on the cake. The use of computer generated explanations to bring the Theatre to life is the first we've seen. This museum punches far above its weight. Entrance was free but normally is only €1.50 or so, anyway. See it when you visit Cordoba.

This very nice archaeological museum in Cordova has lots of statues taken from Roman ruins and Muslim palaces. You can also find here a recreation of the Roman Temple of which ruins you might have seen earlier while walking the city. There are also good examples of Roman mosaics and Islamic artwork. The building that houses the museum is also very pretty and you should take pictures in the courtyard. The maps and the paintings that you find throughout the museum are worth seeing. Save this museum towards the tail end of your visit in Cordova so that you can skip it in case other places demand more of your attention.

Fantastic little archaeological museum. Being from the UK, it was only €1.50 each and free for EU citizens. Early on a Saturday in July, it was almost empty. Beautiful artefact’s beautifully displayed. Many of the labels are in Spanish and English. Gives a real taste of this fascinating part of Spain. They found a Roman amphitheater when it was being built, which you can visit int he basement, and your ticket also gives you access to the Palacio next door with a wonderful courtyard. The whole visit took 1-1.5 hours. Highly recommended.

Admission was free on the Saturday we went. Not sure if this is normal but was a pleasant surprise. They have an amazing collection of artifacts from all periods of Andalucian history from the prehistoric era, to the Iberians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Visigoths, and Moors. Most of the information plaques were also in English, which was helpful. Highly recommend a visit here if you are in Córdoba even for a short day trip. Can easily go through in a hour.

This place was a small museum built atop the ruins of a Roman era theatre. The main, ground level has exhibits of artefacts from the spa from Roman Hispania, through the early Christian phase, on through the Muslim era. The basement contains the ruins with very helpful bilingual (Spanish and English) placards. My only complaint would be that some of the placards were not in English translation. But that's a very minor quibble.

Archeological museum of Cordoba, Spain 🇪🇸 showcases collections from all of its historical eras and particularly has a separate section of Al-Andulus, where amazing artifacts from centuries of muslim rule have been displayed. The collection include coins, flasks, jewellery, marblestones, gravestones, oil lamps & pieces of marble from Mezquita with names of workmen engraved on them from that time. Amazing experience!!
