Having had a great evening with good food and good service on evening of 1st May 2018 served with the fantastic female waitresses of the Restaurant Tabernia del Volapie Cardoba, my wife and I decided because of our good experience to return on the next night 2nd May to find two male waiters on duty one of whome stands at the restaurant main door in the pictures supplied . After waiting some 15 minutes and indicating to the waiter pictured at main door that we were ready to order , he carried on serving other customers who had arrived after ourselves inside and outside the Restaurant he totally went on to ignore us and serve others. In our opinion there was only one reason for his attitude that being that we were UK Citizens / Brexit something we did not find with the female waitresses who were more than helpful and polite toward us the previous night. It was with great disgust that we decided to leave the Restaurant unserved and hungery. It is for this reason and this reason alone the male waiter pictured that we decided to award (one Star). Had it not been for this waiters attitude and his friend inside we would have been more than happy to award 5 stars. A great shame as we were served great food and good service on our first night with the female waitresses who were very helpful and Corteous towards us even although we did not speak Spanish. The waiter concerned is pictured standing at the Restaurant door. A great shame for a fine Restaurant that should employ such people with attitude towards the very people who pay there wages and keep them...
Read moreHad an OK lunch here today but was sadly let down by underhand pricing on the bill.
Drinks arrived with bread basket and croutons which we assumed were free as we didn't order them.
I accidentally dropped these on the floor and they were quickly replaced. When our bill arrived they had infact charged for these.
Food was average and tasted like frozen food, croquettes were cold in the middle (I'm assuming had been frozen), paella seafood tasted like a bag of cocktail mix. Few small prawns, few small claims and this wasn't cooked in-house and was delivered from another restaurant down the street.
Prices on menu for paella was around 18euro we asked if there was seafood and she said yes. Turns out this was a special order for which I was charged 30euro. There were no 30euro paella dishes on the menu that our server showed us.
Patata bravas was a big portion but smothered in a mayonnaise which had to be scraped off as too much.
Left feeling disappointed and slightly robbed at the way the bill arrived. 60 euro for a lunch of this quality was far too expensive.
No music playing, no atmosphere as we went after lunch so the place...

The waiter/owner looked quiet and not came to me and my husband. We eventually came to sit in a table, waiting for a few minutes but nobody seemed to care. I decided to call the waiter, then he came and asked me something in spanish, when I told that I didn't understand, he said "menu?" and brought me spanish menu. Anyway I use google translate and then waiting for hime to get order. I waited for a long 10 minutes but he didn't come to get order, so that we decided to walk out. I...
