This place is not bad. The food is surprisingly good, but often takes a really long time, as they are often very busy. The service is mixed, some of the bartenders and the head server are very cool, and some of the servers seemed to pretty much dismiss me. The portions are huge, I only got half portions and each time got full size plates, probably don’t order their full size plates, unless you are 4+ people. I came here three times and each time it took around 2 hours, which I believe is a super long time to spend at a restaurant. Usually when a dish will take an hour to make a restaurant will warn you, but not here. I am a big fan of wine, and as you enter, you notice a huge collection of around 400 bottles of wine. Because of this, I was extremely surprised by how much they lacked knowledge of the wine they were selling. I specifically asked to try a little bit of a wine I was curious about, and they brought me a full glass, with the very sediment off the bottom of a bottle murking up the top. I didn’t like it, and asked for a different wine, which, surprisingly, they also brought a full glass of, instead of pouring just a bit and letting me sample it, which should be standard practice in a place with an extensive wine collection. Thankfully the latter was better. To their credit, they only charged me for the one I liked, but it could have been avoided by just letting me try a couple sips first. They also forgot about me after I asked for the bill, and when I asked a second time, felt the need to apologize with a shot and chocolate truffle. Which, though a little upsetting, certainly made up for it. The food tastes good, though, doesn’t really stand out in quality. If you want a great deal, this place is very hard to beat, their tapas menu where you choose 4/8 tapas, that includes dessert and a glass of house wine or beer is €14.50 before tip!!! TL, DR: If you’re willing to pay more, I really recommend checking out some other place nearby… This is a nice enough place in a prime location. Their plateware is pretty. I wish some of the staff were a little more...
Read moreThe place is big, gorgeous, with big places to eat at and usually free. We thought we had chosen a rather nice place to eat at and the price was relatively good, but it wasn’t what we expected. (The only good thing we can say is about the ratios of food, as they were giant, and more or less the waiters, so here go the bad things) First of all, we ordered the tropical salad off the menu, hoping it were to be a refreshing and unique salad. We literally got iceberg salad in big chunks, that seemed like they didn’t even bother making it into smaller pieces, one thin slice of pineapple which made the salad tropical, but literally just the slice laying there, no cutting, chunks, anything. As the sauce, it was basically just the pink sauce were used to: ketchup and mayo. Second, we ordered the boletus and mushroom risotto. In no way did the waiter or the menu tell us that it had literal cheddar cheese and goat cheese all over and mixed into the rice. Needless to say it tasted way too much like cheese and the presentation was awful. (Here I add a picture seconds after they gave us the plate). Then, we also ordered an octopus a la gallega, which was the best out of the other two, although it was completely underseasoned but was still incredibly salty. Every bite I took I could feel the olive oil on ever since chunk of the octopus. I must say, although not exactly restaurant quality good, the chicken and the salmon were alright. Both had a large ratio and tasted normal, compared to the other dishes we had earlier, these were heaven. We got the biggest amount in all of these dishes, and a big bottle of water, and the total came down to 76,25€ between 4 adults. Good price, not so good quality, honestly, I’d ask which dishes are their specialty before ordering because that way you make sure you aren’t ordering something they make once a month. Would...

Went for dinner while in Cordoba. Food was good and atmosphere was nice, but service was poor. This also wasn't just a language barrier, though there seemed to be one even with our moderate Spanish knowledge.
The main problem is dishes did not come out timely from the kitchen, so many were cold (still tasty, but cold) when they reached the table. Also, there seemed to be no timeline to get them to the table. We ordered all our tapas at once, and 1 1/2 hours in, we were still waiting for some, at which point we were told they were still to be cooked. Asking that those dishes be cut from our order given how long we had waited and to get the check was met with hostility. Dining in Spain is a slower experience for sure, but this was well beyond what we had experienced elsewhere.
On the language barrier, the slow dishes did lead to some more complex questions that were a frustration for both us and the staff as it took us a bit to form those questions well, which we recognize. One big frustration though was asking for a specific beer...there was even a named tap at the bar such that I could name the exact beer and point to the tap, but somehow that did not yield that beer. I definitely felt that our lack of full Spanish fluency made us...
