Pub SOJO RIBERA — Restaurant in Córdoba

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Staff look as if they don’t want to serve you and security is too aggressive. It’s overcrowded and the quality of the alcohol is very questionable. The music needs to be renewed and it’s very repetitive. All the other Sojo venues are ok, but Sojo Ribera is definitely overrated. If you don’t speak spanish or even if you do speak it a bit, ordering is going to be havoc, the staff generally doesn’t have a clue and nonetheless will they make the effort to make you feel welcome, an attempt to help you with your order is a long shot. This used to be my go to place whenever I was in Cordoba, because it’s well located and the views are great, but my last two experiences here were disastrous. The security here is absurd, aggressive and incoherent. I saw how they kicked a guy out for no reason and not even letting him grab his jacket. It’s sad that a place with so much potential to satisfy customers, does the complete opposite.

tl; dr: Rooftop bar w/ decent view, but prob more for the younger crowd.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the place, apart from the expensive-ish beer (€3.50 for a bottle of Heineken), the loud r&b music and toilets w/ no seats. The crowd definitely tended towards the younger side of the demographic, and as mid-30 somethings who've long past this kind of scene, we just found it a bit much (yes I'm aware how old this makes me sound!).

If you're going for the view of the river or to start the night, or have a shisha, this is probably for you. Take the elevator to the top floor, or just...

Vergonzoso, cada vez que venimos a Córdoba siempre hemos parado en este local y nunca hemos tenido problemas pero lo de hace dos días no tiene nombre.Os pongo en situación...En el local 8 mesas ,son las 1 de la mañana más o menos , entramos dos parejas y decidimos sentarnos en una zona a tomar algo con cachimba,no se nos acerca nadie a servirnos,cinco minutos,diez,quince... mi mujer cansada de esperar y de ver a las camareras medio andando y a un chico sin hacer nada ,me dice que la acompañe a la barra para ver si es que no nos sirven en esa zona. Se lo decimos, que llevamos más de un cuarto de hora esperando y nos contestan literalmente que es que están desbordados.Miro a la izquierda y no hay nadie ,miro a la derecha y no hay nadie,en la terraza exterior eso sí había gente y nos dicen que se nos acercarán para pedirnos nota. Vemos a un chico por llamarlo de alguna manera y le pedimos a él y nos dice que él es el cachimbero,pero nos toma nota,hasta aquí bueno ha costado pero hemos conseguido que nos tomen nota.Pasan cinco minutos, diez,quince y no nos traen la bebida. Harta mi señora se levanta ,se acerca a la barra y habla con un camarero ,por cierto éste si que es profesional ,solo puedo recordar que tiene tatuajes en los brazos y nos dice que no tienen nada , que se le habrá olvidado. Bueno bueno bueno madre mía, media hora de reloj, luego nos atendió éste chico hasta el final muy bien todo hay que decirlo ,no sólo lo malo ,pero vaya tela ,vaya tela con el sitio.Es una pena ,una verdadera pena , que con la magnífica ubicación y con la magnífica decoración ,tenga en general un equipo tan pésimo de camareros en general. Se salvan dos de todos ellos, el portero super educado y éste camarero del que ya os he hablado anteriormente. Muy mal servicio...
