PIZZERIA Campanari RESTAURANTE. — Restaurant in Calp

We prebooked our visit to dine at 830pm at the roof top area on arrival we was told it wasn't available for 5 mins we just stood about. We then proceeded upstairs lovely roof top area,was met by a waiter who appeared to be very chatty. We order drinks and food . The wine came then on the waiter serving the starter accidentally knocked over a full glass of wine over my husband who said his apologies and brought tissues no offer to replace the wine ! Then the evening got worse I tried on several occasions to get the waiters attention for some more drinks , he appeared to be very busy serving on his own up there. The food was just ok my side salad was lettuce and grated Carrott no tomatoes onions...we are in Spain local fresh produce. On asking for the bill we payed cash we never received our change we waited and waited ! On leaving the waiter never said thank you and good night ... it was very obvious rude Spanish who didn't want English in there resturant! We have been coming to Calpe for over 40 years ..never experienced that service ...very...

Este verano he ido dos veces, pero he ido toda mi vida, soy de Madrid y siempre q bajo a Calpe me dejaba caer x allí, este año he ido en junio y en septiembre y se me ha caído un mito... La verdad q me lleve una gran decepción... Por varias razones, yo siempre me pido calzone porque me encantaba, y en cuanto la probé note como si tuviera arena, pero tenía hambre y seguí comiendo... Ya al poquito noté que estaba llena y q crujía los dientes, tuve que escupirlo en un par d ocasiones (menos mal q estuve en terraza) que ya me dió una arcada y me jodió la noche... Y para colmo el camarero me dijo q era imposible... Imposible!? Mira chico yo no sé si te han explicado alguna vez q el cliente siempre tiene la razón y no se le puede hablar así... Me dijo q no tenía nada y me habló bastante mal, me dijo q el horno era de leña y q a veces hay ceniza... mira chico yo compro pan d horno de leña y no tiene arena ni leña por todo el pan... tuve que pagar el plato sin habérmelo comido... Y encima aguanto sus aires, q no les puse una reclamación x todos estos años que siempre que iba a Calpe era visita obligada, pero eso ya se ha acabado. Yo también trabajo cara al público y lo principal es tratar al cliente como se merece, por lo menos con respeto... Entiendo que la raza humana puede llegar a ser muy cansina pero en este caso se equivocó... sólo espero que sí lee esto que aprenda y para la próxima vez no pierdan clientes...

Calp is a nice place with a charming oldtown. The location of the restaurant is perfectly placed in the middle of that oldtown. I don't know, if the owner had changed lately, but there is nothing italian in that food, even less in the staff. The pizza didn't look at all like on the google pictures. It was more a flatbrad than an italian pizza. I can say that, I'm italian... at least. Quality of food and service are simply...
