A real disappointment, in four dimensions: Location: Make no mistake, you will be sitting on the terrace of a pimped 4-star hotel in one of the less attractive areas of SW Mallorca. Worse, you'll be sitting on ugly 90s-style brown tiles. Someone had the clever idea though of putting IKEA+ beach-style furniture onto it and fly a few funny Hawaiian lamps, to call it a "Beach Club". We could not even see the beach when standing up from our table. Atmosphere: If you like being surrounded by people with the urge to take no less than one picture of themselves per minute, this is your place. We sure did not enjoy the atmosphere it creates. In all fairness, the music was good - until the DJ quit at 22.30h, disappointingly. Food: Mixed, from decent lobster paella to very poor squid. However, grossly overpriced - the (sub-par) tuna tartar came at EUR 33, where even in Port d'Andratx you'd pay maybe 24. Service: Understaffed, as to be expected, but also quite underwhelming - long wait times, half-full bottles taken away, not a sign of a reaction to our criticism of the food.
We see absolutely NO REASON...
Read moreThe food was beautiful here. Higher cost, although we dined here on our final night as a treat. Only scored 4 instead of 5 because I ordered a side of chips, for it to be crisps... Not sure who put this on the menu, and at €9, but this wasn't a great addition.
The atmosphere was lovely, very vibey location and the DJ was really good.
Now for the not so good part... The staff and the service. They were so rude. We turned up for a table for 2, there were loads of available tables. A group of staff were having a discussion as to whether we could eat there or not, looking at us up and down. We obviously didn't look the part for this place, even dressed up. They finally let us in and the service just got worse, waiters were just ignoring us and walking past, knowing that we hadn't ordered, or that we wanted more drinks.
It's a shame that such a large part of dining was ruined, especially for the final night. I would not eat here again as we were made to feel very uncomfortable. If you don't own a yacht or look like you own a yacht, you're probably...
Read moreThe only thing that made this experience worthwhile was Giulio. He was the only one truly solution-oriented, and we appreciated his effort and friendliness.
That said, overall the experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, the valet was nowhere to be found — we struggled to park for nearly half an hour while staff just watched, and in the end they still charged us €10 for valet service they didn’t provide. Despite having a reservation, we were given seating that was nothing like what was advertised on the website. Instead of proper beach beds, we were placed on two mattresses on the floor in a shaded area, which felt like false advertising.
Only after complaining did the manager try to make things up to us, eventually moving us to a Balinese bed for four and offering friendlier service. While that gesture was appreciated, the overall approach and lack of professionalism left us frustrated.
Beso Beach has a great concept, but unless they improve transparency and service, it doesn’t live up to...
