ESSBAR Paguera — Restaurant in Calvià

Place is nice, close to the beach, offers cheaper prices compared with surroundings, you have to be patient and wait to order (more than 20 min all two times we’ve bei g there) but failed by having a “smoke place” just in front where owners and employees come to smoke every 10 minutes. You non-smoker barely has a 5 min free to enjoy your meal without that smell all over you. Very sad is to see they smoke under a Marquise of a competitor’s restaurant, filling their restaurant with their awesome (not welcoming) cigarette smoke.

Edit after reply: Yes, the Marquise where all Essbar employees are smoking belongs to another restaurant indeed!

At least 4 associates/owner have smoked during 15 minutes I stand there trying to place my order. Definitely not a non-smoker place. Smoking in front is the same of smoking inside, smells goes everywhere trapped under your own Marquise. You may not feel because you may be one of the smokers and don’t realize how this disturbs...

Haben nur Kleinigkeiten bestellt, Kartoffeln und Brot mit Aioli und Oliven, dieses Bestand aus ein paar Scheiben Toast und Toastränder mit 5 Oliven und Alioli. Die Alioli war gut aber das wars dann auch schon. Für 2 Bier haben wir lange gewartet, da war das Essen schon da und das Wasser wurde erst gebracht als ich nach der Rechnung fragte. Dieses stand dann auch noch auf der Rechnung obwohl ich gesagt habe wir brauchen es nicht mehr. Der Kellner war freundlich aber hat das Wasser auch erst von der Rechnung gelöscht als ich ihn drauf hingewiesen habe. Über die 50cent Trinkgeld war er sehr erstaunt. Günstig war...

Wir haben uns Fisch im Backteig mit Kartoffelsalat und Remoulade bestellt.Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.Den Kartoffelsalat konnte man essen,war aber sehr fad abgeschmeckt. Der Fisch schmeckte allerdings wie in der Mikrowelle aufgetaut,sehr wässrig und leider ungewürzt.Dann war der Fisch nicht mehliert,sondern in einer Schicht Mehl,das auch noch feucht war gewälzt.Man hatte immer das Gefühl, Schmier im Mund zu haben.Die Remoulade war lecker,aber wahrscheinlich ein Fertigprodukt.Für ein Fischlokal sehr enttäuschend, wir würden nicht mehr kommen.Schade,dafür sind wir extra von...
