Regarding the staff, they were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They made an effort to make us feel at home and took the time to answer our questions. This certainly deserves praise.

Notably, it got quite busy later in the evening. This indicates that Il Tano is a popular spot, which is understandable given the delicious pizzas. Be sure to make a reservation if you plan to dine during peak hours.

As an italian tourist in Mallorca, I confirm this is an authentic Italian food restaurant. I was there with my family twice and we ate pizza, pasta carbonara, tagliolini al tartufo, gnocchi, and other. Pizza is like you can find in a pizzeria in Italy, Napolitanian style, pasta was well cooked, nicely presented (creamed into the parmesan wheel) and very tasty. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. Quantity was huge, we were satisfied. You should find the queue at your arrival, but in less than 10 minutes the waitress will find a table four you (I suggest to reserve, anyway). It's not a quite place, but we could talk. It really looked like original alive Italian environment. Even if the place was full, the service was friendly, quick and precise. The menu includes an extremely broad list of dishes, from appetisers to pasta, pizza, hamburgers and a wide range of (big) delicious desserts. A MUST to visit if you are in Portals...

The young waitress with the tattoos(can’t remember her name tag) seemed to have had a bad day yesterday and she took it out on the customers and her colleagues. When we arrived, we asked to sit at a table that was ready to be cleaned but she made us sit somewhere else saying that they won’t clean that table so we can’t move there. She also said that if we want to sit there, we can clean it ourselves! The rudest person ever! She placed a ‘reserved’ sign on the tables that she didn’t clean so people would not sit there. Thankfully, her colleague, a lovely young man, was so welcoming and randomly just offered to move us to this table after he cleaned the tables(he saw us looking at the table).
